Okay, tonight I smoked two Fuentes, both had a similar profile.

Hemingway Short Story and a Chateau Natural,

I had a friend recommend while smoking the first with my bourbon, take a few chips of dark chocolate ....let it melt on your tongue, then smoke.

It was really nice. Give it a try!

So you didn't answer my question, but based on my knowledge of Fuentes your "Current" flavor profile leans more toward woody flavors, specifically cedar & oak. I say "currently" because your flavor profile will change the more cigars you try. So my recommendations are based on mild strength, med-full bodied flavor with woody notes, specifically cedar & oak.

Crowned Heads JD Howard Reserve

Crux Ninfamaniac

Diamond Crown

La Palina Red Label

George Rico Zulu Zulu Connecticut

262 Paradigm

Blanco NINE

Warped La Colmena

Tatuaje MIAMI Brown Label- Maybe more med-strength, but good example of the style

If you really want to explore the extreme woody flavors the fire cured cigars are worth a shot. Listed from least smoked wood to most intense flavor.

Flor de Oliva makes a nice and flavorful inexpensive smoke. I love the acids but they're a bit outside my fun money fund.

Yeah, I like them but usually only pull the trigger when somebody has a sampler deal for them. I'm same as you, a cigar cheapskate. I really love a good one when somebody else buys it, LOLZ!

Try as much variety as humanly possible. I smoke around 3-4 cigars per day, and have been at it for almost 20 years. Here's the one thing I know... Show me the man who calls himself an aficionado, and I will show you a douchebag.

Not to pick a fight, but I consider myself a cigar aficionado, does that mean I'm a "douchebag"? Just sayin, ya might want to ease your way into this community rather than alienating people after only 6 posts.

If the Kuba Kuba (which I like) is too flavored but you still like flavor, take a look at The Upsetters.  Their Original Rude Boy is bold with some flavor as well.  It will take a moment to smoke because it's a 60-ring.  One of my current go-to cigars is the Zola, also by the Upsetters.  It's a bit smaller (52) but a great smoke for me.  if you like the Acid brand, take a look at the Cigar Legends by Drew Estate from Cigars International.  At around $100 for a box of 20, they're a bargain.
