I used to be a pretty hardcore computer nerd, but I’ve gotten away from tinkering the last 5+ years. That said, I’ve been considering picking up a high capacity NAS primarily for the wife’s photography business. For the IT types out there, what NAS setups have you seen that work well? I’m typing this as I sit in an Apple Store waiting to be seen at the ‘Genius’ Bar to find out how much I’ll be paying to replace a dead 3 TB Fusion drive. The iMac is almost 5 years old so I’m not too surprised, but I certainly didn’t think I’d be spending my morning like this. Anyway, I think a better home backup solution will help in the future so I appreciate any feedback!
