... When I played so much in Phoenix last winter I would say roughly 50% of my playing partners were from Canada. I would tell them I speak fluent Canadian because all you have to do is start every sentence with "Oh" and end it with "eh?"  like after a good putt  "Oh, great weight eh?"  Hoser was thrown in for good measure if we were really hitting it off. 🤪

... I sure hope any of our forum members in Georgia stay home and safe after the Gov is opening businesses like tattoos parlors, hair and nail salons, bowling ally's and soon after movie theaters too name a few, where all those that are asymptomatic can infect others to take home to their family. 😟  If he at least let Mayors follow what they think is best for their own cities as I imagine a handful of really small town might be able to make something like that work. But the bigger cities might be in for a very rough ride.

I have some concern greater Atlanta area. If they do this right it may be OK. People still have to be smart about this.

My first real job in early 70’s had quite a few French Canadians working there, great guys, hard workers and I never understood a word they said

Please don't walk up to the tee, pat your pockets and realize -- after three people have already hit - that you dont have a tee! My dad used to do that to me all the time. He's 89 and doesn't play anymore. I wish he could drive me crazy again.

... I think the biggest problem by far with Covid is those that have it without any symptoms. These people are cooped up and want to get out and go to all the places in Atlanta or just open for business and get back to work, but without testing first, they can spread the virus like wildfire. Obviously this explains how it spread so fast and so far, people have no idea they are infected and pass it on to others that are not so lucky. Depending on what science you believe, and I am with the better safe than sorry folk , anywhere from 40-75% have Covid with zero symptoms. Just such an insidious virus.

That worries me, as I live close to Chattanooga and many people I work with are from Georgia. We haven't gotten the call to return to work yet, and I'm still going they wait until their original plan of May 10. We have a Zoom meeting scheduled tomorrow and I'll find out then.

Back in my trucking days one of my customers was a Case IH dealer in Quebec. When I delivered a piece of machinery they had to put the tires and wheels on it before we could unload. We could not understand each other but worked well together. The tire thing was explained to me by another dealer in Ontario. Seems it has something to do with duty taxes etc into Quebec. They could get naked wheels shipped into Quebec regular rate and they got tires cheaper in Quebec cheaper than paying the associated duties

Thought it would be fun to hear what makes all of you cringe on the golf course.

Here are mine...

1) Please don't play a round of golf with iron covers, or even take them out in public for that matter

2) Please don't twirl your club after every shot; if you do, know that you're being laughed at

3) Please don't drive to an adjacent hole looking for your snap hook, and pick up a ball that isn't yours; don't be that guy. While you're doing it people are saying "ugh that idiot is definitely picking up my ball"

My iron head covers are just for tranasport. I take them off before starting the round & put them back on as I put the bag in the trunk. Just trying to keep them looking good for as long as possible. Also the reason I have a golf bag with individual club pockets; keeps the shafts for banging together (Sun Mountain C130 bag. Yes, it's a cart bag. I'm old, get over it!!!). 😀

That’s a new term for me but makes sense.

Ah yes the reverse sandbaggers. Joined a league full of them once. I lasted 3 rounds and quit. Everyone was single digits, no one broke 90, and every round took 6+ hours...

Having one state or town full open and the one next door shut down is as effective as having a peeing section in a swimming pool.

I hope everyone is safe no matter what.

6+ hour rounds. Obviously due to low skill but if they followed my suggested rules to improve pace it woudl cut it down considerably.
