Thinking of buying? Tax free holiday in MA 8/29-30

If you're a Massachusetts spy or nearby and you want a break from sales tax August 29 and 30th is the time to make that big purchase!

 

The sales tax holiday for 2020 will occur on August 29 and 30. Retail items of up to $2,500, purchased in Massachusetts for personal use on these two days, will be exempt from sales tax.

Since we're moving my wife bought all new appliances - 2 wall ovens, microwave, range cooktop, washer, dryer.... saved a good bit of money by doing it this weekend!

Thinking about a couch but without being there it's tough.

That's a great incentive.  In Maryland the Tax Free Holiday started as a back to school incentive for parents.  While it has now expanded to just a tax free weekend, I it's limited to items of $100 or less.   So yeah, no break on a set of irons this week
