WaffleHouseTour
I don't know what the "best" exercise or workout is - but I do know that doing something every day is better than doing nothing. To that end, keeping track of what you are doing I find to be a good motivator. I really like my Apple Watch - big improvement over my FItBit which never thought I was doing anything in a hot yoga class no matter who wiped out I was. With the AppleWatch more than the time spent exercising I'm motivated by how many "active" calories I've burned and did I close my "move" ring (red). My daily goal is 700. Eight days into the new year, eight daily goals met. Doesn't have to be Apple, but I strongly encourage anyone serious about improving their health adopting some way to track your activity in real time. Not just at the end of the day. But how am I doing at noon, or at 6pm, or at 9pm toward reaching my goal.... On more than one occasion I've been known to walk up and down the stairs at bed time until I hit my daily goal in active calories burned, just to close the ring, just to keep the streak alive. Accountability! (or may be obsessiveness...) cksurfdude, Preeway, jbern and 1 other 3 1 Quote Walking ahead of my BagBoy QuadXL w Alphard eWheels Driver: Callaway Mavrik SubZero 9* Neutral w stock Evenflow Riptide R flex shaft 3W Titelist TS2 15* Draw w Tensei Blue R flex 3H, 4H Cobra One Length F9 Speedback hybrids (1”short) w Fujikura Atmos R flex shaft 5I-GW Cobra Forged TEC Black One Length (1”short, 2* flat) KBS 90 R flex shafts 56, 60 Cobra King MIM One Length Black (1” short) KBS HiRev2.0 125 S flex shafts ER7 or Scotty Futura X - 35” OnCore Elixr (lemon or lime)
Owengeorge13
I can’t speak highly enough about the whoop band. I’ve had it for over three years now. As a math teacher I love data, the whoop band just pumps out data to look at. As a big fan of apple products, I’ve surprisingly never owned an Apple Watch, but it sounds like it does a lot of similar things. jbern and cksurfdude
ejgaudette
Personally been getting back into the swing of things. I have done my mobility work everyday since setting my 2024 goals, and most days have done the push-up, ab, and pull-up training l like to do. Once I get back into it might add in some Fit for Golf work. Going for a run this morning as I have a goal of 600 miles for the year (about 12 a week), at 13 so far so will do 4 or 5 toady. Body is feeling much better and less sore when I wake up. Also for all those thinking about diet I will make just a single plug for eating as many plants a possible. Wife and I went whole food plant based almost 2 years ago and have never looked back. I really think it has massive benefits, but I know not everyone is ready to dive in, but if you add more plants and fiber it will still help. cksurfdude, Preeway and jbern 3 Quote Epic Max LS 9° Ventus Blue 6X (2021 Official Review) | Epic Speed 18° Evenflow Riptide 70g 6.0 816 H1 21° Diamana S+ Blue 70 S | SMS 4-5/SMS Pro 6-PW Steelfiber i95 S (2023 Official Review) Glide 4.0 50°.12°S/54°.14°W/58°.6°T PING Z-Z115 Wedge Flex | SOFT 11S Super Stroke Mid-Slim 2.0 Hoofer Bag | Pro V1 | Right Handed | Tracked by V3

jbern
@WaffleHouseTour & @Owengeorge13 - I've been wanting a "watch" for a while now because I do pretty well with data and game based fitness and dieting systems. My only problem with whoop is that it doesn't have a screen. Do you need to pay monthly for whoop data subscription? Yesterday, I got my strength training session in on the Tonal. The focus was on pre-fatigue, which I had never heard of. The overview is that you tire out specific muscles with a high rep/low weight set and then do a low rep/high weight set right after. It made for a really interesting workout. Today I'm planning to get a Yoga workout in after work. cksurfdude, Preeway and Josh Parker 3 Quote WITB (link to detailed post here): Driver: LTDx 9* (ProjectX BlueSmoke Stiff) Fairway metals: 3W TSR2 14.25* (ProjectX BlueSmoke Stiff) | 5W Gen4 0341XF (Mitsubishi Tensei Blue 75 S) Hybrid: 4H Gen4 0317XF (Mitsubishi Tensei Blue 75HY S) Irons: 659 CB 5-AW (Project X Rifle 6.0) Wedges: 286 54* & 58* (KBS Tour 120 S) Putter: AL-6 armlock | Unofficial review here | DF3 OFFICIAL MEMBER REVIEW HERE Ball: pro drip: red & blue | Tour S Pushcart: 4.0 | '23 MGS Clicgear 4.0 Pushcart Tester | Link here

jbern
This week I was planning on three strength workouts and three yoga/stretching workouts. Monday I did a full body strength workout on the tonal. Tuesday was stretching focused on the back. Wednesday was a squat focused strength day on the tonal. Yesterday, I did a "Calm Connections" yoga workout and my kids were jumping all over and crawling between my legs. Let's just say that it was NOT calming! haha Today, I'm hoping to get in the third strength workout and then do a yoga workout over the weekend (unless I have to work). I hope everyone else is staying on track. I believe they say that most people only last for two weeks with their new year's resolutions and that's about where we are right now. cksurfdude, Owengeorge13 and GolfSpy_KFT 3 Quote WITB (link to detailed post here): Driver: LTDx 9* (ProjectX BlueSmoke Stiff) Fairway metals: 3W TSR2 14.25* (ProjectX BlueSmoke Stiff) | 5W Gen4 0341XF (Mitsubishi Tensei Blue 75 S) Hybrid: 4H Gen4 0317XF (Mitsubishi Tensei Blue 75HY S) Irons: 659 CB 5-AW (Project X Rifle 6.0) Wedges: 286 54* & 58* (KBS Tour 120 S) Putter: AL-6 armlock | Unofficial review here | DF3 OFFICIAL MEMBER REVIEW HERE Ball: pro drip: red & blue | Tour S Pushcart: 4.0 | '23 MGS Clicgear 4.0 Pushcart Tester | Link here

Preeway
In an effort to get better about establishing a routine, I downloaded an app and paid for a few months to get me started. Lots of easy to follow exercises. Kind of reminds me of Apple fitness in a way but they aren’t led by a live person. More like an exercise for dummies approach. Being as I can be quite the dummy, this just might be a good place to start.
