I play a 6S and I typically get moderate to high ball flight. I've always been a higher ball hitter but I haven't had the greatest success with shafts designed for lower ball flight like the HZRDUS Black. My AeroJet LS came with a Kai'Li White but I've never played with it. I will use it for this test to get some launch monitor stats for comparative purposes. My swing speed is usually around 110 and I can typically get 250 yards of carry distance. ole gray, Syks7, HikingMike and 3 others 5 1 Quote Driver: Aerojet LS, Ventus Velocore+ Blue Shaft - 6S 4 Wood: Rogue ST Max 16.5, Tensei White Shaft - 7S Utility Iron: Fli Hi 3-iron, HAZARDOUS Smoke Black Shaft - S Irons: JPX 921 Tour 4-P, Project X Shafts - Stiff 125g Wedges: 52º, 56º, 60º Putter: Ai-One 7 T CH, 34" Preferred Ball: Z-Star Diamond Pushcart: Nitron Rangefinder: Pro X3+

It's possible that they have some experience with it, but I wouldn't expect major changes from the winning formula they had. Like the TR line, it was more of a tweak than a remodel. It seems this evolution of the Ventus Blue with Velocore+ should play close to the OG blue with better feel. I don't think Fujikura would want to stray too far from a performance standpoint. Preeway
While we play the waiting game for the VeloCore+ shafts to arrive, I'm going to do my first data dump from Shot Scope. This is based on 67 tee shots hit with my driver in my first 8 rounds (135 holes) played this year. Left Misses = 17 shots or 25% Fairway Hit = 26 shots or 39% Right misses = 24 shots or 36% The data makes initial sense because I have my driver set up with a slight fade bias with 10g in the heel and 8g in the toe. I did this because I had a tendency last year to let my natural draw tendency get away from me with bad misses left. I will update this data when I get the VeloCore+ because I should have logged another 6-8 rounds by then. Left Miss Avg Distance = 273.4 yds and 22.6' from the fairway Fairway Hit Avg Distance = 294.4 yards and 8.7' from the center of the fairway Right Miss Avg Distance = 275.6 yards and 17.3' from the fairway After sifting through all the data I noticed my "good misses" (dirves less than 10 feet from the fairway) were similar in distance to the drives that hit the fairway. However, my "bad misses" (drives greater than 10 feet from the fairway) were at times much shorter in distance. As I thought back on the holes played for those shots I knew that some of the distance loss was from hitting obstructions like trees causing drives to only go anywhere from 200-230 yards. Once I get some more data to average in, I'll establish a true baseline for comparison against the VeloCore+. skraeling
Still waiting on shipping so Ill dump out some previous trackman info. I will be gathering new data as this was done when I was hungover (mistakes were made). Only about 15 shots here, but this was my sim2 set at 9.5* (im not sure if the whole set, I wasnt entering club info in so couldnt keep track easily). under 97 shows how uh "on the injured list" I was at the time haha. This was more towards the end of the session. Here is probably at the beginning of it. Im much faster usually, now these are airswings. On course im probably in the 100-103mph range with a ball (245-285 total distances typically). Ill be getting new data of course be intersesting to see how my hitting is when im not playing "hurt". Plus keeping a much tighter reign on data tracking. Im debating removing flat out misshits for the posts. Me topping a ball doesnt tell anyone anything about a shaft, just that I hit it so poorly I damn near missed the face. I did get to hit a regular ventus TR blue on a qi10 head so not a real head to head comparison, but at least gives me something to look back on. Syks7
One of the joys of Southern California is being so close to many of the manufacturers. Looks like mine will be arriving tomorrow (wohoo -- fedex 1 day window). In advance of this arrival I drove down to the simulator and got some baseline data on my gamer. 25 Swings, 2 mishits, and 23 playable ones -- even the high spin right ones. Aim for your dispersion circle. I'll be doing the same with the Velocore+ (probably on Friday) So here's the starting data for comparison: Its my first go around exporting the data from a GC4 so bare with me. I thought I'd have the clubhead data with it too, but clearly that didn't export. I'll make sure to get it next time. Of note my numbers aren't too bad. I'm around the launch window I should be at, have mostly (if a touch spinny) good spin numbers, and will do zero complaining about an average of 225 carry and 246 total off the tee. Couple videos from the best swings of the day. I don't know if the video quite captures how surprised I actually was. Almost all website photos are photoshopped to some extent to m make the product look better so i wasn't really expecting the finish to match the photos as well as it does. I'm feeling that Christmas'y feeling right now. Sequence of the morning will be to drop my daughter off at school, then immediately drive over to the sim. Syks7
Haven't had time to sort through the data yet but here are my initial thoughts from my first 31 swings with Velocore+. Its stiffer than I expected. Not boardy, but it didn't feel like it loaded like the OG Ventus Blue I hit at my fitting. It felt (to me) like it was in between the OG Blue 6s & OG Black 6s. Stiffer than blue, but easier to load than the black. Launch is lower for me than my CK pro Orange -- by 2º on average. Ball speed is effectively the same which isn't bad considering I know that other shaft like the back of my hand and I'd never swung this thing until today. I like it a lot, but I need to get it dialed. Its consistent enough to play, but I need to find the right swingweight and weight layout for the head to get the most out of it. It's at D4 when I like my woods & hybrids down around D1. I'll probably start by swapping the 7.5 gram weight for a 2.5 and see if that helps. Its very stable. I put some aggressive swings on it and it never felt like it was out of sorts I had a hard time getting the face closed down and also finding the center of the face. I wasn't grossly off with either, but I didn't ever feel like I hit a pure strike today. Could just be a day where I didn't have my best swing or I need to just get used to the shaft. Time will tell. Its playable for me as is right now. Dispersion pattern looks a lot like what I play with the CK Orange and that's out of the box without being dialed in. More to come.
