Ireland April 2025 course recommendation - Dublin (Skerries area)

Hi all,

I have a quick question for any of my fellow MGSers that are in Ireland or have played there.

My wife and I are taking an anniversary trip to Italy and Ireland next April and we will be staying in Skerries (roughly 30 miles up the coast from Dublin). We are looking to play golf just once at an Irish links style course, won't be taking our clubs so will need to rent and would prefer it doesn't break the bank keeping it below $200 each if possible. Hopefully this is possible.

 

My first find was https://seapointgolflinks.com/ as it looks like a beauty on the coast and affordable. Any other recommendations or options that would be good to check out? Thanks!

I used Tailor Made Golf Tours for my Ireland trip (to the North and West), and while you might not need to use them, they are "old school" and you might get some help there either on their website or with a quick email.

Portmarnock, county Louth, island golf club, royal dublin, European club, potmarnock links, druids glen. Played all these my last trip. Can't go wrong with these

Great list! I'm looking at either The Island, European Club or Royal Dublin. Did you have a favorite among the three? I'll be renting clubs, just too pricy to bring mine for one round. Thanks!

I would say The Island Golf Club was my favorite among those 3

That's the one! I just booked a round at The Island with rentals (Ping i230's) and a caddie. I'm super excited, especially given I'm watching The Open as I type this!!!
