Two options I can think of, is that the MLM must use the mobile device to do the heavy lifting on calculating data derived from the phone camera and the radar while the MLM2Pro does all the work itself. OR, Rapsodo has a contract with Callaway and we wont see RCT tech on the MLM2Pro until that contract period has expired.

I’m wondering if there is anyway to place the ball on a hole in the simulator or one of the third party simulators,  to practice around.a green.

im checking out the latest beta by chipping in the backyard and it isn’t that bad.  I’d just like to practice some various shots coming into a green.

There is the target range that has various shot distances available but they are all to a round green so not as interesting. Native to Rapsodo there does not seem to be a way to practice chipping to a specific hole from a distance. Maybe with one of the third party connectors you can. I have not explored that.

So not to sound too clairvoyant, but I believe I can confirm this:

From this video:

He says at 35:56 "The great thing is we can measure that now with that RPT ball from Titleist". 

The video is sponsored by Rapsodo, but guessing whoever quality controlled it didn't catch that comment for any sort of embargo. You can see the ball dots in the screenshot I posted, and while you can't see that it's a Titleist ball, given what he says, I think it's 99% confirmed.

e6 has a practice mode, so I’ve found out.  You can place the ball on a hole and hit shots.

i don’t see a simple way to select a specific hole so you have to play or quit holes.

ive read Gspro also has a practice mode

I think that might explain the delay, waiting for the next pro v1

I agree with this…feel adding different balls to this would help seek more.

The titleist rpt ball has been in the works for some time.  I find it hard to believe that this was done with Callaway having exclusive rights to produce rpt balls.  

but perhaps there is such an agreement and it expires at the end of the year.

i could see titleist making a combined rct rpt ball.  

adding rct ball capability to the Mlm2pro would be interesting but if there are titleist rpt balls would it really be needed?

and the launch monitor market is not stagnant, is there a mlm3pro in the near future?

and garmin has been rumored to be making a rc-50 for some time.

Could we see rapsodo license their optical ball spin processing to other launch monitor makers?

it seems like the least expensive accurate spin measuring technology.  

will we see rpt range balls?

Got out for quite a bit with the Rapsodo today, 250 shots today!

Swing was a bit off in the beginning, started to feel better towards the end.

I have used the same RPT ball the entire time, have over 1000 shots on this one…here is a comparison of new vs old

I have used a sharpie to freshen the dots a couple times so far…ball is hanging in there but definitely showing wear.

Love seeing all this, and I was able to get my session in with a GC Quad this Saturday. I am so excited to be able to compare the numbers and get you guys some comparisons between the systems.

Early returns though are things were looking good. Here's a sneak peek!

I have the 2 I haven’t used yet still in the original box, keep the one I’ve been using outside with the leveling stand on a shelf in the garage.

Amazing it lasted 1000 shots. Did the sharpie work…your numbers were accurate??   One of my balls split about a month into its use.

The sharpie only does so well, it does wear off quickly and will transfer to the club face (even after letting dry for a long time).

I haven’t seen any differences in numbers throughout the time using the Rapsodo.

Man, I love this tool. Once they release this beta update and I can chip, I am going to play so many rounds! Is there a way to view swing vision or impact while using the range function?

Yes, in the app you can view both the full swing and impact of the shots.

Select which shot you want and click the camera icon.
