PGA Tour Holds YouTube Content Creator Tournament

Big jump for the PGA to put on an event like this promoting some of the biggest names on YT.   Should be interesting to watch.   

But personally not having NLU's Solly or Cody both legit players involved makes me wonder what the selection process was.  Really curious to see how this is received.

They only mentioned a few names so we will see what 16 are actually in the game. Should be a better watch than the one they did in Myrtle Beach. The You Tubers could have done a better job broadcasting and keeping it entertaining.It probably was the best nap I ever had.

I'll be interested in watching. Probably won't be a fan of all the creators but happy to see the PGA Tour trying something different and all pro sports leagues have to experiment.

Somewhat surprised that they don't have more guys participating, but there is such a spread in abilities in YouTube golfers that at a certain point some guys don't have a chance. I would think given the roster that it will clearly be the Bryan Bros and Brad Dalke battling it out for the lead, and Sean Walsh trying to hang on. Garrett doesn't have the game and consistency to match those guys, FP doesn't have the distance, and I suspect Tyler is just there to bring in the DudePerfect audience.

It's a big part of golf these days and prob a smart idea.  Will be interesting to see who all is in the line up.

Interesting list of players so far, I,  too am curious as to how the selection/invitations are being decided upon. 

 

You would think they would have to include inviting Rick Shiels, Peter Finch, James Robinson etc. 

It will be interesting to see who else actually plays. I'm sure trying to get all of those guys in one place at one time won't be the easiest, with these guys scheduling stuff out months and months in advance!

I am hoping big Mo from the Good Good Guys the video he did with his brother had me laughing and just amazed at what a good dude he is and watching his brother and him busting chops was hilarious

I've enjoyed watching the creator type tournaments on Youtube.  A good one was the TeeBox tournament at Pursell Farms.  Maybe there should be two divisions?  I agree that there are some pretty decent gaps in ability depending on who is participating.  I like when there is actually something on the line, be it an exemption or cash or what have you; I think it ups the ante for the participants.
