Got Problems?

That has been a topic of discussion for quite some time.  The parking situation is just another reason in what's becoming a rather lengthy list of reasons to leave downtown.

I suspect office relocation will be a priority for 2018.

Anytime you draw public awareness to the issue it makes politicians squirm in there seats. So maybe a letter to the editor of your local newspaper - or maybe a half page ad? The Chamber of Commerce should also be a resource for getting action

So now you need to be reimbursed for the fines AND your parking invoice. Get together with other nearby businesses as I'm sure they're having the same issues. Next step, lawyer up.

If it is cold enough that you need to cover your torso, why the hell wouldn't you want your arms warm as well??....

I have a valid rebuttal for this. Range of motion and overheating.

When you are shoveling snow for any length of time a jacket is bulky, and you eventually get too warm.

A vest, you start out maybe a little chilly but end up comfortable at the end of said shoveling.

I wear vests at work keeps me warm when outside the ambulance but I don't over heat inside the ambulance. Plus I'm one that runs on the warmer side so most of the time something more is too much.

What is this “snow shoveling” you speak of?

So vests are only practical if you plan on doing something active, not just casual wear? If I'm raking leaves in the yard I'll start in a flannel or sweatshirt and once warmed up remove them and finish in t-shirt. Once finished I put said flannel or sweatshirt back on.

You haven't won me over in my disdain for vests

I have a great wool vest that I wear as a layer for when it's super cold out. Looks great too from a rednecks point of view anyway lol.

I an also a vest guy. Have 3 or 4 that I wear either under windshirts in cold weather or just over shirt when just cool.

Haha. I've always been a vest guy I suppose. I hated big puffy jackets as a kid. So I'd wear a hoodie and a vest. But I think I know what you are talking about... yeah, those are a no go. Especially with the “pocket watch”.

Oh No, a 3-piece cage is dope. I'm talking vests for warmth. They look good, especially in an LL Bean catalog, but I don't see the use.

This is my warm and nice looking wool vest. Bought it on eBay for 20 bucks made by Wyoming vest. By the way I love Filson stuff I buy their hunting stuff and it lasts, you have to buy stuff that will last a long time sometimes.20180126_214349.jpg

My wife and I were walking to Safeco Field for a Mariners game on our first trip to Seattle in 2005. We walked by the Filson store and I looked at the stuff in the window (they were already closed). It was the first I'd heard of them and had no idea what their stuff cost. Went online to check out the prices and couldn't believe it.

To be fair, looking at the stuff through the window, it just looked so well made. I'm sure once you buy something from them it will last you a lifetime. I'd like to try some of their stuff some time.

There's a small shop in town that carries the stuff. It's made well, not sure some of it is worth the coin.

I absolutely, positively cannot stand swinging a golf club in a jacket. I have a wonderful windshirt I bought at The Masters a couple of years ago. Does not restrict movement at all. But I still feel like an epileptic in a straightjacket in that thing. I'll wear a fleece vest when it gets into the low 40s or below so I don't freeze to death, with a long sleeved T under my golf shirt.

I wear a vest a lot in the spring and fall. Its all I need especially on the course when the temps are in the 40's. As Shankster commented - vests don't restrict motion.
