KBS 610 Wedge Shaft

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the KBS 610 wedge shaft? I've read a lot on the KBS web site and it seems like it would be a good fit (weight, spin, etc.), but I was looking for a little feedback.

 

A little about my game. I've got C-Taper 130X in all my irons (mid 90s with a 7 iron) and C-Taper 125 S+ in my wedges. I'm a big KBS guy (DG just isn't my favorite) and I do hit full wedges often along with a lot of half and 3/4 wedges. I like to open the face a lot around the greens and hit most of my short game shots with loft and spin.

Kinda in the same boat as you - though not quite as stout. Have C-Tapers in stiff in my Hogan irons and wedges, but considering the  610's for a second set - and I really want to see what the new $ Tapers are all about.  We saw them at the PGA Show - mid launch but lower spinning than the C Tapers?

Interested in the responses to this as well. I have KBS tour 90s in both my irons and wedges. I heard later about the wedge shafts and am curious what they are about. They have wedge in the name which seems to imply some design feature to suit a wedge game (spin?)

Just went from DG spinners in j40 wedges to the 610 in RTX3 wedges. Only one round in the books but for me I think I get a little more distance from the 610 with a little higher flight. Thus far less spin on chips and pitches but still too early to tell. I'll update more but I do know that I don't hate them.

I thought that the $ Taper was going to be around the same spin as the c-taper but just higher launching?

Now that I have more rounds on these with the 54 and 58 I can say that spin and distance is very similar to what I experienced with the DG Spinners. I have ordered a 48 wedge with the 610 in it as well

I have the KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 in X stiff and love them, but haven't tried these newer ones
