My eye however likes a blade style like the Ping Anser but it can get clunky with my mishits and putts come up short. So are there any blade style that feel and act as good as a TM Spider out there? Here are my thoughts and questions. You often mishit the ball with your mallet and it doesn't end up short like you say the blade does? Blade putters by their nature will have less MOI. But a center hit on any putter should have a good feel; whether blade or mallet. You should work on hitting the ball in the center of the face and use the lack of forgiveness to get the feedback you need. With putters having so much forgiveness, we as players can't feel where on the face the ball hits the face and the understand why a ball was short, long, left, or right. When I look for a putter I want to know where on the face the ball makes impact. Putters like the o-works line remove that feeling and make bad stroke feel better. Putt down a line and have your putter go through a gate to work on proper face angle at impact and center face contact. I need to try it on real grass though, I like the heavier 370gm weight over lighter putters, seemed to keep me from starting outside the line on takeaway. If I cant get to try one on grass I might just buy via ebay as they are so expensive.
