Hey everybody!

Been on the forum since its opened, but somehow I've missed this thread!? haha. My name is Matt, and I'm a 17 year old HS golfer just going into my senior year next school year. Live in Ohio, and am going to continue my obsession with golf as I go to college. Love everything about the game, whether that be playing, practicing (I am a bit of a practice nut), and especially equipment. I don't post that often, but I am always browsing threads on here. Can't wait to see what other great things come about on here. =)

Hello! My name is Matt and I am new to this forum and I found it by accident. I have made a couple of posts and look forward to making more. I am an avid hacker and try to play or practice as much as I can. I hope to get some tips and information from this forum. That is what drew me in the first place was the reviews of the equipment. Keep up the great work.

Hello all. My name is Jason and I live in southern Indiana. I play golf pretty much anywhere within a 4 hour drive. I'm currently building a website called MidwestGolfReview; it will contain reviews of all the courses I play with scorecards, pictures, etc. The states that will be included are IL, IN, KY, TN, OH, and MO. I'll post up a link once I get it completed. I found this site while searching for reviews on the Top Flite Gamer.

Hi all.

I'm Nick Pugh, a 34 year old Professional Golfer originally from the North West of England. 10 months ago my wife and I moved away from the UK to live in Malaysia, just outside of Kuala Lumpur. I spent the last 10 years in the UK teaching more and more whilst playing less and less. It's fair to say I'd given up on the idea of ever playing golf for a living.

Having played since childhood and always aspiring to 'make it' in some way shape or form, I'm glad to be in a position here to continue chasing my dream. I've packed in coaching, dusted off the clubs and rededicated myself to the game 100%!

I'm playing and practicing everyday with the aim to attend the Asian Tour School at the end of 2010. The only downside to life out here in Asia is finding any tournaments to play in. A lot of the local events are for local golfers only and ex-pat Pros are definately not welcome! :(

As a result I've been searching for good golfers to play with and trying to come up with competitive ways to practice. More of that to follow....

Anyway, hello and I'm looking forward to having a nose around the forum to see what's happening.

Welcome pughdog!

 Hi.

Great win by Graeme McDowell at Pebble! Maybe we should all be out on the range arching our left wrist at the top? Amazing how the US Open always grinds the best players in the world back to Even par. I think it makes for great TV!

Hey Everybody!

I'm a 30y/o Canadian who works in finance. I swung a golf club for the very first time last year and am hooked! I try to play as much as possible with the goal of breaking 100 this year. I've had GolfSpy on my RSS reader for the past year but am only now taking the dive into the forums.

Hello Everyone on MGS!

I go by the name of Rick,...unless I'm in trouble. Then it's RICHARD!

Been playing golf for around 43 years. At this particular time in my life, I'm recovering from an injury/surgery to my foot. Recovery has been difficult. Alas, the “carrot hanging from the stick” is getting back to playing golf. I decided that golf would be better therapy then the physical kind. So far, so good!

I live in a small town in East Texas (bet that was a real mystery) and run a water treatment system. Married...no kids. Got a Father who is 80 years young and still plays golf most every day.....hope I'm as lucky.

I've spent a lot of time recently on the driving range trying to find my game of old. Surprisingly, it never really left. I just can't walk the next day. But I can't stay away from golf. So I'll be back on the driving range again today. I can see light at the end of the tunnel, and it ain't a train! Can 18 holes be far away?

This is a fantastic Forum! Kudos to the management!

Hello fellow golfers!

My name is Steven, 26 years old, from Taiwan, but was born and raised in Costa Rica.

I've been living in Germany since 2003 (college and work). Right now working as a Project Manager for Point-of-Sale systems (those touchy touchy terminals you see everywhere)

Just started golfing with my wife in March 2010 (after this year's disastrous winter). So basically managed to golf for 6 months and winter is back again!

I used to be a WoW addict, now I'm a golf addict. The kind your wife gets mad at for swinging the club in the living room and breaking the TV, lamps, vases, etc. with it.

Hobbies apart from golf: basketball, tennis, beach, karaoke singing and video games.

Currently at 28.2 HCP I'm still fighting my worst enemy: the dreaded slice (only happens with the woods though).

I treat putting as shooter video game and it helps me a great deal. At least I believe that's what keeps me under 2 putts

I'm probably one of the highest handicappers here, so I'm all about learning!

Thanks to MGS and its members for this great forum!

Greetings!

My name is Rob, I'm about to turn 51, and live in Cincinnati. I'm a forcibly retired environmental chemist who now works a couple hobby jobs, including at a 9-hole private club. I'm currently hovering between a 5 and 6 handicap, and almost everything in the bag was custom-built by Dana Upshaw. I'm a member at a couple other forums, usually under RobGW or My Greens Stimp At 2, though I currently use Siamese Moose because that's the name of my home brewery (my other money pit). Moose, my cat, is Siamese.

I'm Dwayne from Metro Detroit. Love golf but can only play half of the year cuz it gets cold here. The cold is one thing, the white stuff is the killer. Nothing hurts more than watching that 1st PGA touranment in Hawaii in January when here its dark, cold, and gray.

Been playing since 17 but had periods of absence (abstinence??) from the game due to softball, working in Mexico, two kids, and two hip replacements.

This could be my 1st year on the Champions tour, if only I could shave 18 strokes a round.

I play in a nine-hole league all summer and once in a while I get to play 18 holes on a vacation day. Don't get to play much more. Try to go a range three or four times a week and this is the first year I gave the short-game some attention.

I score better on courses where I can find my tee shots, because they don't always end in the fairway. Like everybody, I score better on courses I play a lot, so I guess my handicap would be 10-14, depending which way the wind blows. I don't have an offical one.

In a nutshell, I swing too hard, with a little flip, and miss a lot of short putts, with all of adventures in between.

I have some clubmaking experience, mostly out of necessity due to a bad temper when I was younger and had to re-shaft my broken clubs.

Still looking at equipment is very interesting to me, if only I could afford to actually buy some.

Seems like a great website with lots of great information and ideas. Thanks for the invite.

Respectfully,
DHUCK WHOOKER
