Bridgestone HF2 Irons

Recommended Posts

I’m currently playing Callaway X2 Hot irons from 2015. I’ve played a lot of golf during the pandemic and told myself that if I played in the 80’s and lowered my HC by 2 points (at 18 now and want to be at 15 by end of year) I would get new irons by the end of the year. I know there are a TON of different irons I can look at purchasing and I actually enjoy the research. I had a friend, who I played with last week, tell me that his family works at the Bridgestone Golf plant outside of Atlanta and that he can get big friends/family discounts. He just ordered the Tour B JBR HF2 and said I should look at them.

I know there is a test forum on here for the HF2’s that I’ve read, everyone had great things to say about them. There isn’t a ton of reviews online outside of the MBS site. Would love to hear some feedback from others - do they play well for mid/high handicap, is the cavity back so big that the irons looks like hybrids, etc.

Thanks in advance!

The HF2's aren't too bad - you can see some bulge hanging out the back of the 4, 5, and 6, but not at all offensive to me. They also have HF1's that are super game improvement with a lot of junk in the trunk (think Cleveland Launcher HB's).

I'm one of the other testers, like @MaxEntropy, and they actually look fine. I'd still be playing them if I didn't get to test the Wilsons I have in the bag now, but they sitting as a backup because they just flat out work for me.
