tournament playoff format

i’m sure most of you are watching the marathon playoff at the travelers…

why do they keep running these guys back to 17 and 18? 

are playoff holes preset? why not throw a par 3 in the mix? especially after being deadlocked thru 6 holes here. 

i’m sure there’s a reason, and i think i know what it is, just curious about it.

Yeah watching them play these same two holes is getting ridiculous. It's obvious that these are pretty easy pars for them, need something more demanding or something that has some risk/reward

my guess is they want them to finish where the crowd is, and bringing them somewhere else to play a different hole would cause chaos. 

but i agree with you, a pro golfer who gets to play the same hole 4 or 5 times in a row is gonna become automatic.
