iOS App for MGS Forums

Is there a good app for iOS (iPAD) to use on the MGS Forums? The browser is okay, but wanted to see if there was an app that would help with the overall experience. Thanks.

On my iPhone I’m prompted to try TapTalk but have not yet experimented w it

Tapatalk will allow you to interact with the various threads.  It does have limitations about the content you can view and has significantly more ads than the web version; the web version ads can be controlled via an ad blocker.   Used to be a dedicated tapatalk user when it came to reading the forum, but believe the web version is a better experience.  
 

perhaps you can explain what experience you are looking for or what you believe is lacking?

Stick with the web browser. TapaTalk is terrible.

I am a browser user and will continue to be. I was happy we brought back Tapatalk function to the forum though. We have seen that there are several which have decided to use it. 

The only function that Taptalk is missing at the moment is testing signup and AMA. Everything else is able to be viewed. 

It isn't my favorite, but we are happy to be able to provide another way for those who wish to view and engage in the forum via Taptalk.

I  don't think you can answer or see polls either.

It would be nice to have an iOS app, I wonder what funding goes into MGS and how much they would spend to have one developed after their new website remodel?

There used to be an app.  It looked pretty much the same as viewing it in the iPhone safari browser.

We need an app indeed, something as easy to use as Reddit. It’s really difficult to use the forum on a phone.

You can use Tapatalk to read the forums.

Invision platform (which is what the forum runs on) does not have app support. It has been discussed by them, but they have moved to improve the mobile version and apply push notifications to all platforms (ios and android) to make it as close to being an app without actually being one. The mobile version is much improved and functions just as the app did when we had it. 

Tapatalk is an option as well, while I have not used it in some time most all the areas are function (testing signups I believe are not).
