AndySP
Thanks guys! I did the stack warmup plus a few dry swings until I was in the ball park, then 4 as good as I could manage because I got greedy. It didnt matter though because they went: 120, 118, 119, 120. So no matter which three I pick I’m at 119 for the check in. One mph slower. The grind continues I also experimented with videoing the prgr, (and my foot) during the swings for the folks who want proof because I wouldn’t believe me either, but maybe that should be reserved for the final checkup? I also did three more after the workout and they went 117, 118, 119. So not a huge difference overall. GolfSpy_SHARK
Well i ran 4x this past week. Got up at 5:30 and did 1.3 each day. Kept each about 12 minutes each. Shooting for 4-5 per week. Has allowed me to get some fantastic stretching in post one which is exactly what I was shooting for on top of the stamina portion. I am using an app called “Runkeeper” pretty inexpensive and tracks each one which is good. I set a goal to get to 3 miles per session by February 1st. Wish me luck. ifs been real cold in the morning, starting out has been dreadful but if I can do it now will get easier as it gets warmer lol. I still have been able to keep myself from checking speed so no update there edingc, ejgaudette and Vegan_Golfer_PNW 3 Quote Check out my reviews: G710 Irons Official Review I MC Shaft & V Series Putter Official Review 2022 Forged Tec's Official Review I Nitron Push Cart Official Review WITB: Weapons of grass destruction (link to WITB) Traverse is filled with all this shiny metal and tracked by RadSpeed 8* - MotoreX F1 6X SIM 3W - Project X HZRDUS Green U505 Driving Iron 17* - Project X HZRDUS Black SpeedZone 4H - Project X HZRDUS Black 2022 King Forged Tec's 4-PW - KBS $ Tape 130 48 (SM8), 52 & 60 (SM7) - Nippon Modus 125 S ER2VI PROV1X #19 Are you a veteran? edingc
I was the different one as my baseline speed was based on hitting balls in a range/garage session so I'm keeping that consistent in my measurement. Got a chance to get out in the garage today for a nice hitting session and happy to see a little bit of movement. Top three swings 115.7, 115.4, 115.1 -> 115.4 average. I had a bunch of swings during my session at 114-plus, where that was top-end before starting Stack. I'm very happy to see my averages overall: 114.1 MPH / 166.1 MPH Ball Speed I also hit a new personal best ball speed of 173.3 on one swing. snicerz
Forgot to do my check-in swings this morning while I was fresh so I just knocked them out now (after practice and a full round before dark). 106, 106, 109 (no ball, PRGR) Average 107 mph. The Stack has been a bit of a beast. I'll update this post with my progress report in a bit. All I can say is that Phase 3 was tough with every session being only Max effort swings. Can't wait to see what Phase 4 has in store. Regardless, I've definitely added speed and of course distance. It's been interesting when things click. All of a sudden, I'll be hitting everything long and will have to re-learn distances. I'd say at this point, I'm around a 1-1.5 clubs longer on everything. i.e. my 8 goes about as far as my 7 used to. P.S. Anyone else notice that the Stack espeed is a little under their actual driver speed? I peaked at 102 on the espeed but my actual driver came in at 107 after a long day of golf. I realize it is only an estimate but just curious what others are getting. GolfSpy AFG
So, started Neural Drive this morning. I figure I'll find a way to make it work over the holidays, and if my Grit score takes a hit here or there I'm okay with that. I was a little disappointed to see no max effort swings for the first workout; doesn't look there will be any Wednesday either. ejgaudette
Today was indeed a fast day. I did another speed check before Super Speed because why not and gained another 1 mph to 108.67. Then proceeded to set or tie all time bests with all three speed sticks at 131/125/117. Was feeling great to feel that speed coming back. After the session swung the driver again and hit a new PB for a single swing at 117! and hit a number at 113 to 114 before getting tired. Encouraged to see what comes next. AndySP
I had my Stack progress check today. It was my 4th program. Unfortunately, I haven’t made the dramatic progress others have seen yet. However, I recently started adding some dedicated leg training to my workouts (single leg dead lifts, split squats and jumping all 3x5-8) which resulted in some noticeable soreness. I’m hoping the extra work helps to break the plateau. I read Mike Carrol say somewhere that strength work tends to get in the way of speed work, and the gains are only revealed after tapering back off strength. So I guess that’s the plan now. Anyone else do this? Here’s the somewhat sad result: ejgaudette, GolfSpy_SHARK, edingc and 1 other 4 Quote g430 lst TS2 20* hybrid, New Level PF-2: P-7; 902: 6-5 hi-toe 51* and 57* M Craft IV

I think @Getoffmylawn can attest that simple strength training will only get you so far and they you do need those speed elements to take advantage of the strength you build. So I think it makes sense that you would rotate between times where you work to build some strength and then back off to focus on speed, and cycle like that a bit.
