Bohnson
I have a good system now that I have the RYP radar! Fastest speed with the light superspeed is 136. I feel a bit out of control trying to create speed, but I am swinging for the fences. Will be interesting to see how a launch monitor registers with the driver compared to the ryp radar. When the time comes to test! PS I would recommend the ryp radar and the superspeed sticks. Seems like it picks it up fairly accurately every swing. edingc, GolfSpy_SHARK, ejgaudette and 1 other 4 Quote Brandon Johnson, MBA COO / Co-founder North American Golf Tour www.northamericangolftour.com e: bjohnson@northamericangolftour.com WITB: D - Taylormade M1 w/ tensie pro orange 3w- Taylormade M1 w/ tensie pro orange 2i - Srixon 4- 5 Srixon 785 6- 9 Srixon z blades PW, GW, SW, LW Cleveland rtx true temper shafts in all of my irons putter - Odyssey #

GolfSpy AFG
Hitting a bit of a rut in my speed training. I am doing the Neural Drive program, which was not the first recommendation the app generated but I wanted some variety. And, the description for Neural Drive says it is targeted at those who feel they are not as fast as their strength levels would suggest they should be...seems to fit me. Through Phase 2 I was cruising along and excited to get to Phase 3, but Phase 3 so far has been disappointing. In Phase 3, you basically do a set of 8 max swings at 240, 255, or something in that range, then 2 consecutive max sets at a very light weight, then finish it off with 5 max swings at 195. Here's a preview of my next workout: So far, jumping from those light weights up to 195 has me feeling like I'm swinging a sledge hammer, and I don't seem able to make the adaptation...my overall Stack speeds and Driver eSpeeds have fallen off in Phase 3 rather than improved: I'm going to stick it out of course...I'm hoping I either self-organize and start hitting some faster speeds, or this is simply part of the Neural Drive "master plan" and Phase 4 will pay off in speed gains. Anybody else have experience with the Neural Drive program? Vegan_Golfer_PNW
well I am getting on the mend. may not be able to do speed work until Monday (maybe tomorrow if I am feeling better). I did do a Skillest lesson on Sunday and got feed back. With that was some driver work he gave me. Again, I haven't tried full speed, but even with slow swings, I feel more rotation and freeness. This may help me get over the hump. edingc
Got out in the garage yesterday morning for a Stack workout and speed check-in (as I have throughout this competition, my numbers are with a ball and post-Stack). I had a great Stack workout with a few personal bests, felt like I was going to crush my driver and on my first swing... I toe-shanked the hell out of it, sending it up and right nearly 90 degrees and through the garage window! (How to Upset the Wife 101 ) I cleaned up the mess, and $8 in materials from Home Depot later the window is boarded up nice and tight. Thankfully the ball had so little on it that it broke the glass and fell immediately outside and not anywhere near my neighbors. These windows are old, single pane glass, and it looks like about $40 in new plexiglass will get it fixed up when the weather is nicer. Oh well. I went back out today and didn't bother with a Stack priming session, which in retrospect was dumb. Between the lack of the Stack stimulation and also a bit of nervousness, my driver speeds fell way down, with my best drives barely hitting 111. Crossing fingers that next time is a much better showing. I was so close to 117 a few weeks ago and now that seems so far away. AndySP
The intent part of swinging fast, and balancing fast and hard is still the thing I struggle with the most. Sometimes 80% gets me my fastest speeds. I’ve also found that there are some swings where I’m completely off balance on the follow through, but the number is high. Often I’m falling forwards, which confuses me. I haven’t done my check in yet because I was gone for the holidays, but one hopeful I can do it tomorrow. I managed a few days in the gym, but otherwise just sat and ate…I mean “rested.” ejgaudette and edingc 2 Quote g430 lst TS2 20* hybrid, New Level PF-2: P-7; 902: 6-5 hi-toe 51* and 57* M Craft IV

I managed a few days in the gym, but otherwise just sat and ate…I mean “rested.” I think most people struggle with this. The feel of fast is often associated with hard. I have to conscioulsy think about fast not hard prior to my speed swings. As far as the balance, on max intent swings I wouldn't worry too much as you are training your body to overswing. And falling forwards is ideal as that would indicate you are using the ground to push up, and through. AndySP
Stack told me to do 2 return to form workouts before returning to the normal plan. I had 10 days off for the holidays, but came back yesterday feeling pretty good. I finally got a 195g swing at 109, (average 108) which I’m pretty happy about. I also did three swings after the workout, which, even if they don’t count, we’re quick for me at 120, 122, 121. Fingers crossed that it’s not a fluke. ejgaudette, GolfSpy AFG and edingc 3 Quote g430 lst TS2 20* hybrid, New Level PF-2: P-7; 902: 6-5 hi-toe 51* and 57* M Craft IV
edingc
Perplexing check-in. Set new personal best 107 with 195 grams on Stack but speeds with a ball have regressed 3-4 MPH from my previous bests depending on swing. Seeing it both with the driver and 6 iron, so I don't think it's indoor swing syndrome. Stuck at 114 with the driver. Dispersion has gotten slightly better at least. ejgaudette, GolfSpy_SHARK and GolfSpy AFG 3 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 3.6 / Anti-Cap: 9.9 (Last Updated Sept. 1, 2024) Driver: Callaway Paradym TD (10.5°), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Fitting Post 3 Wood: Cobra RadSpeed Big Tour (14.5°), 43", Fujikura Motore X F1 7X 20° Hybrid: PXG 0211 (2020 Model), 40.25", Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW White 90X 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", Aerotech SteelFiber i110cw Stiff 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B. Silly question because I know the answer but assuming you used the same ball? Yeah, dispersion getting better is a huge win. I just have some power leaks with longer clubs. I need to accept that I will always swing my irons faster than my driver, relatively. Same ball. I looked back to Dec. 17 and I hit 117 several times. Only other major change is that I've started to cut a bit and have lowered my calories to 2,100 or so. While it hasn't affected me in the gym, it's quite possible it has slowed me down just a bit. I mean in theory the lower calorie intake could take away from some growth but that’s still a healthy total, whet were you taking in before? Assuming it wasn’t a drastic drop You can have lower calories but still maintain growth levels with protein intake. I’m down 7 +\-2 lbs and am still gaining well in the gym. I will say it’s making my hip mad because now I have all that muscle and my hip stabilizers haven’t caught up yet. RollingGreens
Huge gains, had a lesson in Thursday and wasn’t getting into my trail leg enough for power. Orange whip 122, green super speed at 108, and blue super speed at 104. All personal highs. Hit my driver at 103 more consistently than a few weeks before which is encouraging. Would love to see the baseline for the driver above 100 consistently. I still have time periods where I fall below but the bottom speeds are definitely creeping up ejgaudette, Vegan_Golfer_PNW, GolfSpy AFG and 1 other 4 Quote Stealth 2 Plus 9deg Kai' li Red Stealth 2 13deg Aldilla Rogue Silver Stealth 2 15deg Aldilla Rogue Silver JPX 921 Hot Metal 4-PW Nippon Modus 120s SM8 54 and 58deg Dynamic Gold Wedge Flex Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Titleist ProV1 Hoofer Stand Bag Stewart Q Follow Electric Caddie 300 PRO Rangefinder Official Nippon Regio B+ Driver Shaft Review Official Stewart Q Follow Review
