Here is talking about how it is the wrong play to play driver and that players should lay back to a distance and he hasn’t seen any birdies. via the app I looked at the hole and as of my check there were 10 birdies, 26 pars, and 4 bogies. While it doesn’t address each players strategy, I’d say that that is a pretty good conversion rate and that by laying back you aren’t guaranteeing that more birdies would be happening.
