@jared52, you are correct.  For me, I've got 14 dozen new golf balls sitting on the shelf (including 8 dozen of the Maxfli Tour S balls).   Don't ask as it might be considered a hording situation!  What makes it worse is that I don't loose too many balls on the course.

My thought that two more dozen won't be too bad.  Then again, if I really think about it, they probably won't be used until 2026.

Wow, I thought I was bad. I guess with 15 dozen, I probably am.  The cube is new and was for the MGS Forum Outing that I never had to break into.

A recount got me to 15 dozen of new golf balls.  And that doesn't include the two or three dozen of new balls I've given away in the last few weeks and the new balls I have in my bag.

These are all new/like new clean condition. Sorted by brand, not by model though (except a few)

These are yet to be cleaned and sorted.

These are practice balls. Mild scuffs only. (The deep cut or heavily scuffed were thrown away, about 40 so far )

As a backstory; our club's proshop is having a Father's day sale - 25% off on shoes. I found a great pair of Adidas spikeless BOA shoes that with tax would end up costing me $98. I thought that was a great price. Now the rest of the story: 

I went on Adidas site and the exact same shoe is on sale for $66 (free shipping if you sign up for their newsletter). The shoe is a 2022 model and who cares if fits well, and has great support. Total with tax was $70.

Rob, I have 2 questions for you. How many time a year do you have to regrip your ball retriever? Do your golf buddies make you count your retriever as one of your 14 clubs?

Thanks for the reminder. I have grown to really like Adidas shoes but usually get them from Shop Premium Outlets or Adidas’s eBay store as they have the best deal but I picked up another pair of these for $49 shipped from the main site:

My friends ask me quite often " hey, can I grab your favorite club?"

And it has never been regripped!  

As for it's bag status, I'll simply equate it to the football addage "it's the 12th man" , or in my case, "the 15th club"  

Believe it or not, it barely sees water by me, 98% of its use is riding shotgun in the Marshall cart. You really don't want to reach your hand into the brush areas here!

As for the egg cartons.  15 years ago, I became a scout leader, and I always saved the cartons for the scout pack/den for projects (like dryer lint and wax frestarters, painting projects,  etc) when my boys were finished with scouts, I left too. But the habit of saving them remained just out of habit. Occasionally they would get donated to friends who started raining chickens. My wife almost threw them out a couple years ago, and I quickly retrieved them (I got the stinkeye for that)  when I started marshaling,  they finally found their purpose!!!

It's kind of like that 1 piece of wood, or that drawer of unlimited junk, that we all have, but just cant get rid of, in fear of needing it soon after you clear it out.

Are these mostly found at your course gig? You can always donate to 1st Tee!! Might not solve the addiction but helps find new homes anyway.

Yes, nearly all of the eggs are.woods balls. I don't go for sinkers.

I saw the Golf Galaxy/Dick's $20 off on $100 promotion this morning when I got up.  I had a $10 loyalty reward that was about to expire, so I pulled the trigger on ANOTHER four dozen personalized Maxfli Tour S golf balls.  With tax and free delivery, they were only $85.  Add another four dozen to the fifteen waiting to be hit! 

Since I already have roughly four dozen of the personalized "MyGolfSpy, Golf2Much" personalized balls, I decided to switch up the personalization.  Given my ability to get up and down from off the green, my playing partners have nicknamed me "F#$king Norm."   In fact, when anyone else gets up and down they say he "f#$king Norm'd it!"  I am now relegated to a verb.  Even though there are bad language filters on the personalization feature, they do allow certain symbols and these worked.  So, for this dozen, the balls reflect my golfing nickname!

They may actually move to the front of the being played line!

No, I don't have a driver. Just the BRNR Mini. So I'm looking for something. They're $60 less than Takomo and even less than the PXG with Hero pricing. So it might be worth a flier since I can get my preferred shaft and grip at no charge.

Geesh, all Mizuno woods/hybrids look to be on sale at Golf Galaxy.

Fairway woods are $180 each, customized.
Hybrids are $160 each, customized.

I may end up with an all Mizuno bag at this point (minus putter).
