Preeway
Good evening everyone. Another tranquil day at the lake and pretty sure I exposed my back more than my from to the glowing nuclear furnace in the sky. On the upside, the house we are renting has a fancy shmancy Evo grill so making the most of it. Made cheesesteak sandwiches for lunch and now pork steaks for dinner. Golf tomorrow if the rain stays away. Hope everyone has a great evening. My scores will come down. @Preeway you and the boys are probably gonna crush me in two weeks but I’ll take it so I can be better in the end. Hit some massive drives today and some spectacular approach shots. Just struggling to put it all together. At least I had fun. can’t wait to play tomorrow!!! Have a great evening!!! Wyo out! William P
Well, the new AC unit is installed and operating nicely. All is good for adult, child, and animal children after a few days of touch and go keeping the old unit running... The only thing the new unit is not good for is the bank account! Started the wiring and re-assembly this morning and by 10am was done. Several tests were done as a check and balance prior to tying up the connection to the tank. The pump is back in its 120' + resting place and pumping like it should! Called the lady boss and gave her the good news, she was very happy from what I could tell over the phone. Then she proceeded to give me a reminder of the other honey-do list items... I nodded in agreement silently, then went and played 9 holes! @Rob Person it is always better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission! What an absolutely GREAT thing to do especially after putting in the time and effort to get it all together in a very reasonable amount of time! 11 minutes ago, Erin B said: If I was at where @Preeway is I don’t think I’d come back. Michael.Sandoval33
Good evening spies, I had a good range today and will have one tomorrow. Tee time early morning Friday at the small par 30 I haven't played in a few months. I thought about leaving the Qi10 at home when I go but there is still the 4th hole with large bunkers down the left that I want to test my luck on again so I will be taking it specifically to take that on. New Footjoys came in today along with a few polos, shorts, and balls. Class finished within an hour and a half today since this professor is on it (my 2nd time having him) and so, I'm off to relax. rkj427
Good evening Spies on what was a warm and humid day here. Did manage to get out and get a round in at a course I haven't played since the early 2000's. Played fairly well, the course was not crowded at all, most likely due to the upcoming holiday and travel plans many have. Back felt OK after doing stretches and exercises, and still felt OK after playing, so hoping that issue is gone. Popular Post Preeway
Good evening everyone. Good day on the course. Wasn’t very challenging today as the tees were way up but was firing well and the putter somewhat woke up. The greens were stupid slow but I nailed the good looks I had for birdie. Popular Post Preeway
Good evening everyone. Today was a reminder that golf is hard and mental acuity must always be the sharpest tool in the shed. My brothers in-law decided the game today would be the three of them as a best ball against me. To be fair, their average scores tend to be 88, 95 and 98. They also were going to get one stroke on every hole with their best ball. I knew the odds were against me but I was determined to give it my best. Then, as we approached the first tee, it was decided we were going to play way up so the course was going to be around 5900 yards. This took every advantage I might have had away and left me totally exposed. The round ended with them making a best ball par on the first 14 holes, a bogey on 15 and then they made par 16-18. Their net best ball was -16. So, I had to shoot the best round known to mankind in order to win, lol. It was still a lot of fun watching them grind to have one of them make a par on every damn hole. I finally made a birdie putt on 18 to finish at 79. The hardest part of playing so far up was teeing off with 4i or 3i on the longer holes which impacted my midset a lot more than I thought it would. It was still a great day for golf and we got one of my BiL's completely trashed before coming back, much to his wife's chagrin. Hope everyone has a great evening and enjoy the fireworks. rkj427
Good evening Spies from a warm and muggy Motor City area. Had a day that went exactly as planned, quiet and relaxing, and we are supposed to have a front move through and maybe bring more rain tomorrow and cooler and drier air moves in for the weekend. Only thing left to do today is to keep the dog calm and indoors while the fireworks go off all around us for the next 3 nights. @Preeway glad that you had a fun time, and I can understand the dilemma of playing forward tees or shorter distances than usual. I get that "opportunity" when I get rounds in with an 80-year young friend. jbern
It's too late to post on most threads about random things, so I thought I'd join in here! Happy 4th of July! I had to work today, which was fine because it was so quiet while I was there. Needed to provide some holiday coverage and I volunteered. Then I was able to have some fun with my kids, nieces and nephew out on the lake. It was very busy, but it made tubing behind my pontoon much more fun with all the waves. We also played can-jam, which is a backyard game to play with anyone who can remotely throw a frisbee. Then I proceeded to grill frozen burgers on the grill, which made me LOL at @Preeway's post about his unbelievable meals at the lake No golf planned for the weekend, but I've been sending out texts to friends trying to get something going... we'll see if I get a bite on any! The par 4s were playing around 290-320 yards mostly. And the landing area for your drives was usually 50-100 yards out from the green. There were a couple holes where the green was technically within range for a driver but it made zero sense. It really shouldn’t have been that hard but I let my mental game lapse and a couple bogeys early turned into a lot of griping and excuse making. 3Putt4Double, Erin B, Michael.Sandoval33 and 4 others 5 2 Quote Driver: Aerojet LS, Ventus Velocore+ Blue Shaft - 6S 4 Wood: Rogue ST Max 16.5, Tensei White Shaft - 7S Utility Iron: Fli Hi 3-iron, HAZARDOUS Smoke Black Shaft - S Irons: JPX 921 Tour 4-P, Project X Shafts - Stiff 125g Wedges: 52º, 56º, 60º Putter: Ai-One 7 T CH, 34" Preferred Ball: Z-Star Diamond Pushcart: Nitron Rangefinder: Pro X3+

Rob Person
How I am still awake after 20 hours is beyond me at this point. Evening spies. Hope everyone who is celebrating is finding some joy on this surely loud and spectacular night of booms and stars spreading across the sky. Seeing as I live in county territory, there are no restrictions on how big or loud you are able to dispense. Also seeing as Alabama has as many fireworks stores as we do dollar general stores, that equals alot of extravagant boomstick shows all around! Preeway
Good early evening gents. I'm finding myself ready to get home after 6 days at the lake. Always fun to come down with all the family (that's 9 adults and 9 kids) but even in the huge house we rent every year it's hard to find a way to escape. Plus, I can only handle so much lazy time before I get restless. Saturday will be a 6 hour drive home and unpacking before realizing we left the fridge empty last Saturday so there isn't anything to make for dinner. Even after typing this now, I'll surely find myself shocked and angry at this revelation tomorrow night. Hope everyone has a great evening. Tonight is leftovers night so no great food pics to share anymore. Michael.Sandoval33
Good evening everybody, Spent the day unable to do much, twisted or pulled something where my hip and thigh meet yesterday during my short round. Not exactly sure what happened but it hurts like a . Was supposed to play another round today but that didn't happen and it looks like a weekend in bed.
