No score card Skycaddie subscription needs renewed. Best score of the season so far for me today. Couple of blemishes with 2 doubles on 12 and 16. But had 4 good birdies. Hitting my short irons well and putting better than recently.

Lot of work on the range and in the mirror is paying off. Best round for a long time and included some decent scrambling as well as genuine good shots. Felt it was made better by the fact the greens were cored and sanded a few weeks back and still very beachy so super tough to get pace right. Hoping for a few more of these as the Aussie weather warms up! Would have been 40 points so very chuffed at bouncing back after a few poor scorecards...

haha! Definitely always fully dressed but they probably wonder if I'm nuts given the biggest mirror is in the front room so passers by can definitely see what I'm doing!

Combining 2 nines.  Had to play the front yesterday....back was closed.  They were applying some agent to the greens that allows them to soak up water better.  So much dew in the mornings when I play....the pic is from Sunday morning...could not hit a putt hard enough and a shout out to my Vikings.

Was -2 going into 16 today and middle of fairway, dogleg right I am stuck behind a tree.  Bogey and then topped my drive on 17, bogey.   Even par.  459950811_10228858353317718_7508280668623263285_n.jpg.e23c3e850e62095cf2826dd790fc245f.jpgIMG_6065.PNG.4cabf9d8191a658051bdb53ad769bc18.PNGIMG_6064.PNG.af45f41342c62a038d7ec1cf0a514f35.PNG

I had a case of the shanks early and it cost me.  Great drive followed by a shank to the worst possible spot lead to three doubles on the front.  Approach never really recovered though I did try to rescue the score with the putter.... 29 putts, but couldn't quite get it done.

Today started with thunderstorms all around us!  The local radar looked like the majority of the storms were going to pass north of us and we had a 4 hour window to get our round in.

image.png.07e03484cab63dbaf9d8a47dcac8dff3.png

Overall, it was a somewhat "normal" round for me.  I did hit almost 80% of the fairways with one miss left and one right.  I was very consistent to say the least!

Greens in regulation were slightly lower than usual.  The four up and downs for pars while the three up and downs for bogies helped keep the overall score under control.  No doubles today (which is always a target).

The 28 putts should have been better as I left at least three or four on the lip.  We just had our forth aeration of the season and the greens are not quite back to their normal speed.

The fact that we got the round in was amazing.  Hopefully, Thursday's round will be rain free!

Legue Championship--- CPO wet as heck but I did manage to walk with my Hurry Cane with no problem and no pain or stiffness as of now. I did have one blow up hole because I got pissed took a quad. Collected myself and managed to save the round somewhat. 45 players I am 20th. A 20 handicapper shot 86 today and is leading it. I am 6 shots out of the lead for Thursday's round

What a difference a couple of weeks make. After a nice, steady round of 81, I come back with a "couldn't hit my ass with either hand" round of 96. Man, the strokes added up quick. Doubles and triples do nothing good for the scorecard. Maybe another go or two this week to improve. We'll see.

On going lessons are starting to pay dividends.  Had my best round of the year, broke par and almost broke 70. One of those few occasions, were all facets of the game working well.  Irons were on fire leaving me with putts of 6", 1, 2 and 5 feet for birdies.  Lab rat (putter) as always bailed me out with par putts of 8, 10 and 12 feet when I needed them most.  Front nine was 3 under with 11 putts.  Overall, 11 one putts and 26 putts total for the round.  Very pleased with this round, although my wife was getting pissed off at me for getting a little too close to making a hole in one and hence catching her in the hole in one department.  Her record is still safely intact, SWMBO 1, me 0.

My golf game has been off. Not the best score the past week. Not making putts and iron play is horrible at times. Only bright spot of the round was the 2 birdies on the front side. It was pretty much a struggle after that. I hope to be able to post a score next week. I’m on vacation, and I’m going to visit my mom. I’m playing a course with “rental” clubs. I think it’s a bunch of mismatched clubs. They kind of chuckled when I asked if they had rental clubs.

Well, this was my first time playing this course since it reopened after a complete shutdown and renovation. They renovated the course back to the original Donald Ross design from 1927. So the "Ross" tees added up to 6240 yards which is what we played today. It was a little longer than I normally play however, I ended up playing pretty well with only 1 penalty stroke on the 18th hole today. Not bad since I hadn't picked up a club in almost 2 weeks. And they put us out early so didn't really get a chance to properly warm up.

Another round this evening no improvement 82 (+11). Nothing gelled on the way out and was +9 at the turn, started back par, birdie, birdie only for my recovery to come to a grinding halt with a double at 13.

Started at 4pm and finished at 7:15pm just as the sun was setting, this is our usual tee time on Thursday and looks like we'll start to struggle next week to get 18 holes in.
