Thursday was a bonus as we got out and dodged rain drops and workers as the course was Dryject aerating the course.  It's the fourth time the greens have been aerated and the second time they used the Dryject process. 

My play was nothing significant to post.  I'm still getting used to the test Titleist driver and fairway woods.  For some reason, it takes time for me to adjust to new clubs.  The same thing happened when I transitioned from my faithful Ping G400 SFT to G430 Max HL.  

One thing has seemed to improve over the last week or so is my putting.  My strokes gained over that period has been over 2.0.  

I didn't feel compelled to share my normal round data today as there's nothing really to see!  Hopefully, I'll have a more compelling story after Saturday's round!

Piecing together two 9 nines....Tuesday and Today....I wasn't going to go out this morning because it was 43 degrees, but there was no wind, and I am unable to get out again this weekend.   Improved my score by one stroke, I guess.  Kinda all over the place for these rounds.  Bogeyed both par 5s on the back.

For the first nine… I’m a lumberjack and I’m ok. Enough said about that. The second nine was marginally better. Overall it was a Kenny type of day.

Hit the ball solid all day. Hit 9 fairways and 14 greens. Only 1 bogey and 4 birdies.  Had 32 putts. Two birdies were 2 putts on the par 5’s I hit in two. One other was a par 4 that I drove the green. It’s getting harder to make any shaft changes to the new PXG’s when I’m hitting so many greens. Still might at least change the PW and GW shafts. However, yesterday distance was not an issue with the clubs. One of the par 5’s I hit was a smashed drive and a solid 6 iron from 192 out of the rough to 25 feet. Of course I missed the eagle putt, ha ha.

Got to show @Erin B my dirt track today.  Had some good shots and birdied 2 and 3 today. Overall, I really liked the jumbomax grips on all the clubs.

Went straight to the course from work, no warm up. Front nine took me several holes to get sort of get going. Been making a consistent error with driver, and that was very present today. But, I putted really well and this was the first round in a long time where I did not lose strokes on my approach game.

Played back-to-back days at this course, with vastly different weather conditions.

Today was low 50's to start, low 60's by the end of the round with a 15-25MPH northeast wind.

Played decently, took big numbers out of play, but also had a few chips that I could have had better results to score even lower.

Hit 12 of 14 fairways, 5 of 18 GIR's, but unless it is on the actual putting surface, I don't count it as a GIR, so lower putt total instead.

Some pictures of the fall colors, and also my longest drive of the day, although my approach shot was on the fringe, left of the hole, pin high.

#9 is the hardest hole on the course and they had the whites and the black on the same box today...485 yard par 4. But the wind was blowing 10-15 helping off the left. SMOKED it and with the help of the wind and the Texas drought and the downhill speed slot I managed to hit the drive went 324! Of course I pulled the 8-iron into the green and missed it left (the only GIR missed on my back (which was the front) 9.

81 total and that's after starting double/double/bogey/bogey on the first 4 holes. Made a 30 footer for birdie on 8...so had some nice highlights today.
