GolfSpy WD
Great Review RP. I will say the headcovers that you did not like are so much better than the competitions. Since the competition uses the bubble wrap, it is not very hard to beat. However, excellent unboxing. Haha, +1, though I'm with RP and ditched them pretty quick. My reasons were slightly different though. I lost one and decided it would be strange to have headcovers for all but one wedge. They are nice for preventing the heads clanging together, but easy to lose. @GolfSpy_WD

Aotearoa_Brad
Nice unboxing RP - bummer about the flaw on the one wedge - but as you say, I'm sure SCOR will set it right. Is it worth contacting them directly about it? Might be a good way to test out the customer service for the review as well?

JREcklund03
When you guys review, can you make particular note of the weight of the lowest-lofted-wedge vs the club it's replacing, and the transition from your irons into the wedges. Thanks in advance. Oh, any idea when the reviews are starting? Done and done. Weights (more specifically weight distribution) has been especially intriguing to me and is highlighted in my outline so you can expect some discussion from me. Also. the Cobra Amp Cell boys and gal should get some use from my review as I am using the Cobra Amps and drawing final comparisons between how the two different styles of wedges play and perform compared to each other. SPOILER ALERT! It's going to be a great read! I know we are getting squared away with everything and reviews should be up soonish as dates are getting finalized now. SPY VIP The Dansome Posted October 9, 2013 SPY VIP Share Posted October 9, 2013 Including the covers is such a classy touch regardless of whether you use them or not, very smart for not only shipping but branding as well. I mean they could have come with just bubble wrap, but to throw in a custom cover? Pretty cool. Very good jobs on the unboxings and look forward to the reviews. Tyk
Great job guys! I've been purposely avoiding this thread because I've gamed SCOR wedges for two seasons and should be considered a highly biased fan! I can't wait to see what you all think of them! I do want to comment on RP's take on the SCOR yardage bag tag, as that thing has really helped me out. It motivated me to take the time to actually figure out my short game yardages and write them down. I went out with a buddy and a couple range finders on a day when our course was closed for aeration last year and the two of us hit balls back and forth in a fairway (caught hell from the greens keeper for it to when he saw our divots!), full swing, 3/4 swing, and 1/2 swing for each club from 9 iron down through the wedges. I modified SCOR's bagtag a bit using a labeler and now have 3 different yardages for each club. After using this for two seasons I now have a pretty good idea what all those distances are, but still find myself referring to it especially in those situations where trajectory is important. I've got 3 different clubs for several distances. 90 yards is a full swing 58*, a 3/4 swing 50* and a 1/2 swing 9i for example. When I'm in doubt of what club to hit, and just look at the bag tag and trust the homework I've already done. It takes the guesswork out of the equation and allows me to just concentrate on making a good shot, which is of course what I should be doing, but I never really found that easy to do before. When I was 80 yards out I'd be thinking "I could open this up, or choke down on this, or . . . ." Now I grab the club that I've already told myself to grab and concentrate on making the shot. Kenny B
I purchased the SCOR 54 and 58 wedges last spring and love them, and I am considering one or two more. Their online fitting process didn't work that well for me, but I talked to SCOR and the suggested wedges fit very well with my Ping i20 irons. My full swing SCOR 54 is just the right step below my i20 U wedge. I love the SCOR ability to control distance and trajectory which is why I would consider replacing the i20 P and U wedges. BTW, I decided to use the covers in the bag until I lost them, but I never did; I actually wore them out. Sent a note to SCOR and they sent me 4 more! Looking forward to your reviews! I have a couple of Eidolons, and am demo'ing a SCOR 51 right now via an offer they make (or made to me, anyway) after getting "pre-fit" using their website algorithm. You're going to love them--exponentially better in terms of distance control and feel, for my money. Contra Walker's review, I'm getting a little more distance with the SCOR as well.
