Undershooter
Congrats Buddy that's awesome!!! I don't fully trust any of the fitters here in MS. The closest ones for me would have to be in Louisiana or Alabama. I may have check out one of them next year. TheWahoo
Am I correct in assuming that if reflected in bold print, it is considered in the top 100. If such assumption is correct there are 2 here in Maryland. I have used the Club Champion locale. I was impressed that they recommended that I continue using my current equipment and did not try to sell me anything. PlaidJacket
Congratulations MmmmmBuddy. Now... I want to say that I don't put too much stock in this list. Your shop MmmmmBuddy is a true fitting shop. But I believe many if not most on the list only claim to be fitters. If the shop says they fit they are included. If the shop has a LM they are included. If they have a fitting cart they are included. I know for a fact that a shop (small box retailer) that's listed in my town as a fitter is far from it quite frankly. They are no more qualified to fit than I am. And I'm NOT! The articles says they cited from a poll of their Course-Rating panelists, (unnamed) industry sources, and internal nomination forms. So how did Course Rating panelists become club fitting experts too? Doesn't make sense. Even with my limited knowledge of club fitting there is a whole other world out there of professional club fitters ( like MmmmmBuddy) and none of them work at Edwin Watts, Golf Galaxy, Golfsmith, Golftec, Nevada Bob's ,etc. Again MmmmmBuddy, I'm not at all suggesting you are not deserving. You most certainly are. My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour

Did your shop have any relationship with the team. Have you worked with any of the team members. Thanks!! That was so much fun to watch! Yeah, the guys come in on the reg. Sulman Raza has been a regular at our shop since I can remember. He grew up in Eugene. I remember him out on the range as a 7 or 8 year old just striping it at flags.. Aaron Wise would bring his putters in to get adjusted pretty much every week. That kid is the nicest young man you will ever have the chance to meet. It's pretty cool having the University so close. We have some of the football players stop in from time to time in the off season. When Marcus and Hroniss are in the off-season, they will be in at least twice a month checking things out. Trustworthy Clubfitters are another story. I know your shop down there. Haggin Oaks has a wonderful reputation in the Biz. SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted November 30, 2016 SPY VIP Share Posted November 30, 2016 There are a few amazing fitters there, but lots of turnover as the young folk move to better jobs. Just gun shy fitting there now knowing that I got fit into a set of irons based upon an iPad spiff promotion for the fitter and not it being the best set for me to play. Orange Hog
Congrats Buddy!! Truthfully, though, I had to laugh when looking through the fitters in Arkansas, particularly the one nearest to me (Rogers, AR). That shop is 5 minutes from my office and I've spent a lot of time in there during many a lunch breaks. While they occasionally have some nice deals on apparel they absolutely are NOT a good club fitter. They don't even have a launch monitor! In fact, most of their club selection is outdated. There is another shop about 30 minutes from here that has 2 simulator bays with GC2 and FSX, a much broader equipment selection and really well trained staff who do a great job fitting and building clubs. No idea why that place didn't make the list, which frankly makes me question how Golf Digest put together the list in the first place.
Undershooter
Look guys what I can't stress enough is that it isn't important what places are on the list. Bc they are just naming places in each state which can sort of "fit" a person for clubs. What's important is the ones that are listed in bold as top 100 fitters. That isn't easy to do and our guy Buddy's shop made the list. Very impressive in my eyes. Wish I wasn't on the opposite side of the country from you. SPY VIP GolfSpyC Posted December 2, 2016 SPY VIP Share Posted December 2, 2016 5 listed in Colorado - 2 of which (Gott Golf and D'Lance)I've been to several times - The other 3 are "Golf Tec" franchises which more or less run the same program. D'Lance does a nice job if you want a fitting which is done pretty much entirely by data - Their location is indoors and a bit cramped for my taste. No doubt they build exactly to spec and the work is top notch, but if I can see the ball flight when I'm being fit, I'm generally not a fan - also expect to pay absolutely top dollar for their work Gott is run by Brian Gott and he's a Callaway Performance Center guy - A little opposite of D'Lance in that he'd rather watch you hit balls and then confirm what he thinks by having you get on the monitor - Also, he's a big MOI build fan - Not sure he even does freq matching...
