The latest app update now lets you add clubs as a group, which saves some time.  My clubs, Wishon single-length EQ1-NX, were not in the list. I sent a request to Rapsodo support at about 10:00 Monday night, and got an email back the next morning saying the clubs had been added to the database. Nicely done!

On my wish list for the app (which I have sent as a feature request) is to remove the limit on clubs in the bag.  I'm a hobbyist club builder and I like to compare clubs.  I'm spoiled by a few fitting sessions on TrackMan where you get to compare the performance of different clubs in one session.

Its been really nice to see the constant updates they are doing. One day I hope they have a dashboard which can be viewed vs the app.

I am sorry friends, but the wait is killing me. I am not in Africa as @Leonvdwesthuizen but I guess that shipments to Spain will also take some time. Fortunately, weather is not an issue and everything is ready, from weekend rounds lined up whenever the balls show up, to some indoow launch monitor testing to be done at home.

In the meantime, I am open to suggestions on the appropriate testing procedure. I wil lay out the initial plans and happy to receive comments/suggestions

    1) Set up the Mevo + and hit some irons at home (unfortunately, I cannot hit drivers in the garage). Use 4 balls: Test, ProV1x, AVX and Z-Star XV and 5 shots per iron (5i, 8i, 54ºwedge). Total 60 shots. Focus on distance/spin/trajectory

    2) Take it to the putting green. Compare it to one of the other balls. Focus on feel

    3) Practice chipping with all 4 balls and focus on feel, spin and feel

    4) Take it out on the course and play 2 balls (side by side, same shots).

The AVX yellow balls I have are from 2021, I believe (I found an incredible offer back then, and I do not loose many balls). Which ball should I do the side-by-side comparison? Apparently these are new AVX, so it could be interesting testing them with older AVX to see evolution. Or perhaps try the ProV1x and find differences.

    Suggestions?

Same boat here in Switzerland. From my previous experience with testing and timing for when EU stuff arrives it is generally two weeks after. So I would say at least another 10 days.

Im probably gonna pick up one of these used if I see one.  no need to pay for new and shiny.  If anyone wants to sell at the end of this, lemme know.

A reminder that testers are NOT allowed to sell any testing product. They can gift it or pass it along if it does not work for them, however selling is strictly prohibited for the first two years of two product cycles.

If a tester is seen trying to sell their testing equipment prior to that time it marks them not eligible for any future testing opportunities.

I will draw my pictures as always, haha. Looks like it plays at least 40-50 ft downhill. By the way, this golf course looks VERY cool.

The view from the tee is intimidating as well....

But, in reality, I am probably aiming for the 230 yd landing zone here. I really like my hybrid off the tee and i think 50 yds is a good landing zone for me. If I hit it well, it will probably kick down and to the front left short of the bunkers. If I don't quite catch it I might stay right on top on the flat which leaves like an 80 yd wedge shot slightly downhill, which I would love. That's an easy 54* for me.

This is such a unique and fun course. I don't like a few of the changes they made and in my opinion they ruined the 18th as well as the 11th, however it now starts off with back to back par 5s which is pretty unique as well.

Jamie - do you find the Rapsodo to work well with a net? I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on it based on the forum reviews / feedback, but the HackMotion has me intrigued as well, especially if you aren’t getting the best data from the LM.

While it can get cold in Georgia, it’s still possible to be outdoors for most days, so my winter lab setup will consist of an outdoor hitting net, mat, and monitor setup in my backyard turf.

I really like the Rapsodo. I'll be having a full writeup soon. It's just a great device and I like the sim function which was missing previously.

I've using phone a lot, but finally got my ipad unlocked so I can use that along with projector to see how that works soon!

It is short par 4 time!

You will see me post a few holes from the course as it is easily a top 5 course for me. I have only played this hole twice and managed a par both times. The first time I got lucky and drove the green with a 2 iron and the scond time managed to get a par from the short right bunker.

The tall tree on the left grabs your attention a seems like the line if you have never played it. However is better to be right of the tree. Anything left going to the green feeds away from you and anything right is flirting with danger.

How would you play this hole? For conditions it is summer mid 80s, pretty hard so decent roll out and with the trees there is little to no wind effecting the flight.

  7. Nope, nowhere to be seen.

Onoff golf is probably the biggest company here in shops outside of the main brands. And a lot of Honma.

A few other smaller brands which I have had to look up afterwards.
