Sound fun especially with it ended up being Titleist.  Of course my comment wasn't directed at you personally, it would have been the same comment for any member of this site being asked to talk about equipment 🙂

Haha you’re not wrong there. It was actually a pretty diverse group. A former college player, myself, a weekend warrior who’s in it more for the fun and being outdoors than performance, and an older gentleman who lost distance but still shoots pretty well.

congrats to the new mods! good luck and godspeed! (where does this phrase even come from anyway?)

    The Phrase:

Godspeed, meaning "a prosperous journey," comes from the Middle English phrase God spede you ("God prosper you"). It was originally used to wish success to someone, like saying, “May you prosper.

    The Origin (maybe):

Astronauts Neil A. Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Edwin E. (Buzz) Aldrin, Jr. thundered away toward the Moon, the last words they heard from Launch Control were: "Good luck and Godspeed." Armstrong replied, "Thank you very much.

  3. Looking at a whole new set!

Not for me though. Jackson’s driver met its untimely demise on the 7th hole today when the head dislocated itself from the shaft with a snap.

it was nearly time for the next size up anyway. But now I’m looking a Junior sets that have a bag with “a stand” and “that double strap” which are the two features he is looking for in his new set. Haha

  4. Had two shots today that stood out to me as potentials beats of the day.  The first was my drive on 1. 298 yard left center of the fairway. It led to my first, and only converted birdie on the day.

The second one was a 57 yard wedge from the rough after taking a penalty.  I knocked it to an easy 2-3 footer to save par. I liked this one a lot because you can’t really see the green behind the bunker.  Those shots always make me uneasy.

    BOOOO!

How can you root against a 50 year old Phil?

but seriously if Phil had 2 swings back today he most likely has a 4-5 shot lead, it’s going to be crazy tomorrow if the wind does turn completely around like they are predicting

Easy! Phil’s not on my fantasy team! 😂

Finally pulled the trigger on a cart bag that will fit between the supports of my push cart better than my two stand bags. I really wanted something that appeared a little smaller than typical cart bags. Hopefully this is it since I didn't get to see it in person.

That looks nice! If it doesn’t work check out the Ping Traverse. I got one because it works great with my pushcart!

  7. I have it set to what was best at my fitting.  At the range and at the simulator I have tried the different settings, the original one is what I always end up at by the end of the session so that stays in the bag for actual rounds.  I'd have to have a consistent miss caused by that setting before I would think about needing to adjust it.

We have them in the wooded area near our subdivision; can hear them howling at night sometimes.

They may or may not be a part of my plan to dispose of these bunnies my wife brought home...

There's a ton of rabbits on our street now too.  No doubt that's dragging them out too.

    They can be pretty sneaky!!

used to see them often in CT.  We had one that would grab a Turkey occasionally when they roosted out back in the woods.

We have some powerlines down a dirt road at the end of our street.  Sometimes at night we can hear them howling.  Generally they don't come out this way much.  We used to have a lot of deer too, but I haven't seen any this year... I wonder if the Coyote's are growing in numbers in the woods there.
