Sound fun especially with it ended up being Titleist. Of course my comment wasn't directed at you personally, it would have been the same comment for any member of this site being asked to talk about equipment
Haha you’re not wrong there. It was actually a pretty diverse group. A former college player, myself, a weekend warrior who’s in it more for the fun and being outdoors than performance, and an older gentleman who lost distance but still shoots pretty well.

One hour focus group on equipment? They didn’t leave time for anyone else to talk did they
I am mildly offended! Even if it’s true! they each got time to talk too.. just maybe not as much.
Turns out there were representing Titleist. It was a pretty cool experience and fun to talk brands and perception.

Got these in today from Amazon:
Puma Jackpot 5 pocket pants. After trying their stuff during CCC4 I can’t get enough of their apparel.
I had received an Amazon gift card for doing a one hour focus group on golf equipment. Figure I’ll be able to get a polo with the remainder. Not bad for an hour talking golf!

congrats to the new mods! good luck and godspeed! (where does this phrase even come from anyway?)
The Phrase:
Godspeed, meaning "a prosperous journey," comes from the Middle English phrase God spede you ("God prosper you"). It was originally used to wish success to someone, like saying, “May you prosper.
The Origin (maybe):
Astronauts Neil A. Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Edwin E. (Buzz) Aldrin, Jr. thundered away toward the Moon, the last words they heard from Launch Control were: "Good luck and Godspeed." Armstrong replied, "Thank you very much.

And now thinking the Mizuno irons should be replaced also as my swing speed has increased....
Uh oh... 12 posts in your poor soul found this page already? Turn around and slowly walk away before your wallet starts to cry! haha
Although... I can't say anything that would make you walk away from those clubs. The Speedzone woods were excellent and the Radspeed stuff felt just as good to me. The Cobra fairways are top notch for my game.

Played OK yesterday with @Lacassem and the boys. It's always a little interesting while trying to teach them the game and play, but we had a good time. Shot a +4 37 with one birdie, 3 bogeys, and an unfortunate double on 9!
I drove the ball much better than the last time I played and both driving penalties on 8 and 9 were good drives. On 8 I pushed the ball a little right and ran out of room sooner than I thought I would, or another group picked up my ball as that area runs adjacent to a tee box (the likely scenario unfortunately). My drive on 9 I would take 10 times out of 10. I hit a high beautiful baby draw and took a hard bounce when I needed a baby fade. I didn't think the edge was in range there so I'm ok with a well struck ball that ends in a bad place. Now I know that area is within reach when I play again. It also probably landed 5ish yards into the rough, so it wasn't off-line either.
My mid-range wedges (50-100 yards) felt great, and I stuck a few in tight. My chips and pitches were generally bad. but its early in the season and my feel isn't quite there yet.
Putting was OK, 15 putts overall with three 1 putts. On two of my other GIR I left the putt within inches of going in for the birdie. The greens were slower than what I normally play, and it showed as most putts were ending up short of target.
Overall was glad to get out and hit some decent balls in the long-game, particularly my 298 yard drive on the first swing of the day. That always feels good!

Congratulations guys! I know it wasn't an easy process for the mods to go through. Looks like we're all still in good hands here.

Looking at a whole new set!
Not for me though. Jackson’s driver met its untimely demise on the 7th hole today when the head dislocated itself from the shaft with a snap.
it was nearly time for the next size up anyway. But now I’m looking a Junior sets that have a bag with “a stand” and “that double strap” which are the two features he is looking for in his new set. Haha- GolfSpy_BNG, edingc, sirchunksalot and 3 others

Had two shots today that stood out to me as potentials beats of the day. The first was my drive on 1. 298 yard left center of the fairway. It led to my first, and only converted birdie on the day.
The second one was a 57 yard wedge from the rough after taking a penalty. I knocked it to an easy 2-3 footer to save par. I liked this one a lot because you can’t really see the green behind the bunker. Those shots always make me uneasy.

Come on Brian, there are bigger things than golden tickets .
Ha! Golden ticket! My golden ticket would be reaching the playoffs!
Even then, I’d rather see Louie win than Phil.

BOOOO!
How can you root against a 50 year old Phil?
but seriously if Phil had 2 swings back today he most likely has a 4-5 shot lead, it’s going to be crazy tomorrow if the wind does turn completely around like they are predicting
Easy! Phil’s not on my fantasy team!

Looked like Phil was going to run away with it, but now there are lots of players in the hunt. Tomorrow should be interesting, at least the back nine.
Yes indeed! I’m pulling for Brooks to keep my pick’em hopes alive.

I have it set to what was best at my fitting. At the range and at the simulator I have tried the different settings, the original one is what I always end up at by the end of the session so that stays in the bag for actual rounds. I'd have to have a consistent miss caused by that setting before I would think about needing to adjust it.

Man that is some serious wind. It's amazing how 1. they can sometimes still stop the ball on the green downwind and 2. how often they still end up pin high.
But it is fun to see the shot tracer go wild right and left too. Makes me feel a little better! haha

We have them in the wooded area near our subdivision; can hear them howling at night sometimes.
They may or may not be a part of my plan to dispose of these bunnies my wife brought home...
There's a ton of rabbits on our street now too. No doubt that's dragging them out too.

They can be pretty sneaky!!
used to see them often in CT. We had one that would grab a Turkey occasionally when they roosted out back in the woods.
We have some powerlines down a dirt road at the end of our street. Sometimes at night we can hear them howling. Generally they don't come out this way much. We used to have a lot of deer too, but I haven't seen any this year... I wonder if the Coyote's are growing in numbers in the woods there.

Figured out why my dogs have been so crazy sniffing lately in the morning. saw this coyote walking up the road this AM. Then again circling my neighbor’s chicken coop.
Apparently it got 4 chickens already this week.

sweeet! I love my FJ ProSL's. Got a few seasons out of them and now they're my range/sim shoe. I think the rubber nubs on them have really held up well over time.
Enjoy and congrats on the win!
