Good Friday morning spies! One last work day to get through, this week has been dragging for me. Weather looks to be questionable for most of the weekend including this afternoon so unsure of any golf that might happen. I will take clubs to with me this morning just in case it is clear this afternoon. Fingers crossed that I can get out and do something because this past week has been a zero in that category.
Have a wonderful day everybody. ️

I agree @ParFore74x! Other than league play, I probably wind up golfing 90% of the time at sunrise. There is just something about the course early in the morning, birds chirping and the nice walk that accompanies.... just soothes the soul.
That’s a great way to put it. So relaxing.

Sunrise golf is some of the best golf, IMHO.

Good morning and happy Thursday to everyone. Got the lawn mowed yesterday so the jungle has been cut back for a while. Soccer game tonight with temps in the low 60s with hopefully no wind. But first, a day of work.
Have a great day spies!

Good morning spies! Early start to the work day today which I am hoping translates to an early exit for this afternoon. Planning on getting in a round so the earlier the better.
Hope that you get some answers to your car soon @sirchunksalot
Have a great day everybody! ️

Good morning spies! Couple of great groups for testing announced today, that was a cool start for the day. Both tests should be fun to follow.
My Stars were unable to get the W against the Golden Knights in game 1 last night. Not how I was envisioning this series starting out but they should be able to bounce back.
Temps will be in the 60s today which will be perfect because I really need to mow the yard this afternoon. Grass is getting to be a bit on the long side.
Have a great day everyone!

2 hours ago, sirchunksalot said:I'm just now getting on the forum, I've had an adventurous evening and not in a good way. I left work and started to get in the interstate when my car decided to get a case of the rumbles, it felt like I was driving in the rumble strip on the side of the road. I saw the check engine light and an EPC warning along with "auto stop/start not working".
Fortunately, there's another exit two miles down and a Walmart there. I called the wife to come pick me up and roadside assistance to get the car. We drove to the dealership after getting the car towed and I should have taken the left at Albuquerque. Instead, I hit Bonny Oaks drive which was not Shallowford road.
My wife says not to worry, we can take Hickory Valley and cut across. Unfortunately, making a left there was brutal. The intersection had a red light, but coming from my direction it didn't have a turn light. I waited three turns off the light before I just kind of blew the thing. I had been waiting for around 10 minutes and the wife suggested the suicidal maneuver.
I got to the dealership where I was hoping to get a loaner car while mine was being repaired, but they don't loan cars to employees. That was a waste of time.
We had to stop and pick up dinner and now I've eaten and cleaned up for tomorrow. I'm going to be driving the wife's car tomorrow since I didn't want to deal with the leasing company simply because I've heard that there's 12 people in line for a loaner ahead of me.
Hopefully they'll get the car back on the road quick.
That’s a rough afternoon. Hopefully you are able to get your car repaired quickly.

Good Monday morning everyone. This week is yet another 3 game week for my daughter’s high school team. I think that it’s wearing me out more than her. Today is an early one too with kickoff at 4:15 and it’s on the road. Need to leave work a little early to make that happen for me.
Took the wife and daughter out for 9 holes yesterday and they both did ok. I saw them both making some gains and improving their ball striking. I actually heard my daughter admit that it was harder than it looks which made me laugh.
Have a great day everyone.

Wow that's not something you'd ever expect to loosen! Did you check all the others, including the one for the shaft?
Also maybe back out those screws again, clean off the threads and the inserts, and apply your own thread lock?
I did check the others and they were all tight. Cleaning them and adding new thread lock is on my list of possibilities. Right now I’m keeping an eye on them to see if they loosen up again and how long that takes to happen.

That’s good. At least you’re not completely void of swinging clubs.

I don't blame you for not wanting to play in the rain for your first round back. Hopefully you are able to get a round in soon.

I wasn't paying super close attention, but there was some gems one-liners in that movie! Speaking of movies/shows, I just started watching Fallout on Prime (Fallout the video game consumed WAY too much time when I was in High School). I don't really have an opinion on it yet, but it's definitely not a show to watch with kids around.
The rest of today should be pretty relaxed, with a few chores mixed in to help get ready for the warmer weather and some packing to get ready for our short family trip to Bonita Springs, FL. It'll be nice to get to consistently 80* temps!
Have a good day everyone!
I watched Fallout this past week and thought that it was decent. It is entertaining and has some good storylines. You are also correct that it is not kid friendly. I've never played the game itself, not really sure why, but I'm enticed to go looking for it.

Welcome to the MGS forums @Track 1!! That sounds like a great way to be introduced to the game as a kid, cool memories.

A little bit of a longish term update with a development with my Evnroll EV5.3.
While rolling some putts in the basement this past week I noticed that the putter felt a little off, like something was physically loose. Upon further inspection I found that the two screws holding the two pieces of the head together were indeed a touch loose which was allowing the back piece of the head to bounce when I moved it around. I removed the screws completely to check the threads and they looked fine. There looks to be a light coating of a threadlocker that appears to be white. It tightened right up and of course I will now be checking it regularly to see if and when it does it again.
Still absolutely love how this putter feels and I definitely feel confident standing over putts with it. I usually play multiple rounds per week and roll putts at home daily with it.
I’ve also updated my original review with this new information.

Good morning spies! Frosty start to the day so no sunrise round this morning. That gives me time to watch the F1 Chinese Grand Prix so no real complaints here. I’ll try to get a round in later today. If not, I’ll watch the RBC and roll some putts.
Have a great day spies!

I probably have 12-15 or so good balls at any given time. I try to keep it light since I’m a walker.

Got out for 9 today in some chilly and windy conditions. Temps were around 42° and the wind was 16-21 mph. Round wasn’t bad at all starting off with a tailwind assisted par on the downhill par 4 1st, always a great way to start a round. Struggled to hit greens on 2-5 which resulted in four straight bogeys but I was able to get the wind at my back again for the downhill par 4 6th which resulted in a bird. Finished it off by falling apart a bit with a double, par, double resulting in a 43 for the 9 holes.
The wind was definitely a factor today but the mistakes were still mine. A couple of rushed shots and a couple of shots with poor club choice. Still had a fun round so life is good.

My local golf retailer, Golf Headquarters, is having a tent sale this weekend where they pass out a packet of tickets with each purchase that are good for a free round of golf at a dozen different courses in the surrounding small towns with purchase of a cart the day of play. Gives me an excuse to stop in a buy something that I need anyways and maybe find a deal.
Stopped in with my wife this morning in search of a 6 hybrid for her as well as shoes and possibly some Vice Pro balls for me. Wife found a sweet deal on a brand new Cobra RadSpeed 6 hybrid w/ Recoil ESX shaft for $100.
I failed to find shoes and no deals were had on Vice balls however, they had two boxes of TP5 my symbols for $40 each which I decided would fit my needs just fine.
Two deals, two ticket books, and now I have plenty of excuses to get her out on course to keep learning the game.

Good afternoon spies!! I’m late to the MGS party today, been a busy one. Slept in a little bit to let the frost go away but when I woke up my wife wanted some breakfast. So we went out for breakfast and then ran some errands. I then made it out for 9 holes in chilly and windy conditions but it was still quite enjoyable.
Enjoy the rest of the day spies!

Norris will definitely be beating himself up over that one. Maybe he’ll get some vengeance during the race.

... should I even bother to mention I love my Capitals?! I think they are a +1600 to win the Cup. Let the festivities begin!
The more fans and teams represented, the better!! The Caps have a long road ahead but nothing is impossible. The LA Kings won the Cup in 2012 from the 8th seed in the West and they beat some tough teams to accomplish that.
