Got Problems?

Alright, here's a good one.

Just got back from 2 hours of sitting in the hot sun after five, uninsured, unlisenced landscaping workers rear ended our car. We had to turn left on a busy two-way highway. We had to comecto a complete stop in order to make the turn. Put on the signal way before the turn, to give other drivers a good chance to slow down. The car behind us didn't see our blinker and veered of to the side of the road. Then the landscaping workers, who were driving way too fast and were distracted, sideswiped and totaled the other guy's car, and slammed into our car. He had to have been going at least 45. He offered us $500 cash (at least a $5000 repair) because he didn't want to get the police involved. No way. It was also hard to understand him because he didn't really speak English. Anyway, now we have to pay the deductible and also a couple hundred in damage to stuff in our car. What makes it worse is my back is already sore and I have a tournament on Monday. My last few months have not been great...

Sorry to hear GJ! A buddy of mine got rear ended a few months ago by someone who wasn't insured. Offered to pay for the repairs, but his neck got messed up and girlfriend broke her wrist, so they went the insurance way. The guy paid big time for all the physio/chiro. Hope Monday you're feeling A-OK

They are right. I was in a rear ended accident last year (on Friday the 13th....ha) and I went to the Patient First clinic that nigjt. The Dr said the same thing, you're going to be real sore tomorrow and gave me some 800 MG Ibprofen as well.

I was better by Monday. I think you'll be fine.

Everyone... you know of course that it's a full moon.  More bad things happen when there is a full moon.  Ask anyone that works in an ER.

A friend of mine was coon hunting and his hound took off into the side of my buddies knee and it tore his ACL.   This was on a full moon night.   Another friend had a run in with a copper head and yep, this was on a full moon.   Must be something to it.

Where was this? Sounds like I'm back in New England? Especially with the copperheads.

I don't like clothing with the American flag on it. Specifically bikinis, tank tops, hats, socks, etc.

I feel like it cheapens and disrespects the American flag and what it represents.

Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

Somewhat agree. There can be tasteful and decent representations of our colors, but then.....

It doesn't bother me if they wear the colors/flag to support our country. It's those that stomp on or burn it that boils my blood.

Is that dog food those coons are going after?  They are pesky rascals for sure and if they find a steady food supply you could be in for the long haul.

Yep, cat food.  My wife likes to make sure our adopted cats and a few ferals have enough to eat.  Well, that stopped.  Dishes come in at night now.

Bad news... last night we had to put the old mama cat down.  I honestly didn't think she would make it through last winter, but the hot weather was too much.  Her daughter cat is missing her.  I'm not really a cat person like my wife, but she was the most friendly cat I have ever been around.  The other one doesn't like me much.

My rant...bloody cars. Chanin's Rav has been making a squeaking noise for the past 6 months and no amount of my getting under it and shaking things can point me to what it is.

Being an 02 with 112,XXX on it, I thought the shocks may have been the culprit, so I ordered new fronts and rears last week. I put the rears on yesterday morning, snapping the lower passengers bolt in the process. I got the rest of the bolt out using an easy out (YAY, they don't normally work for me) ran down to O'Reilly's but they didn't have the right one. Went to Lowes armed with the correct bolt info and got one there for the princely sum of $1.64. Back home, got everything buttoned up, backed it out of the driveway to take it for a test drive and the squeak was still there.

I got out and gave it a good shake, could still hear the squeak. Got Chanin to rock the car (c'mon, it's a Rav 4 not my truck) while I got under it to try and finally pinpoint the noise...I did. The rear passengers spring is broken right at the top perch.

So, now I need to order new rear springs for the damn thing.
