Has been in Memphis since Saturday morning but somehow it was making it here tonight. The rep confirmed in fact it was still in TN and assured me that it would make it by 8PM tonight. I told her politely that I doubt it and was asked how I knew that? Hard to say well I own a map without coming off like a j@ck@ss. When I got home from golfing on Sunday, a friend stopped by to tell me that we just lost Jimmy. Jimmy was 57 and my best friend in the world. We were friends since Kindergarten. He was my Best Man at my wedding. To say we were tight is an understatement. He had a stroke 3 years ago and struggled to remember most of us. He was doing well and getting back to normal, and he knew who I was the last time I talked to him. He died of a massive heart attack Saturday afternoon. This isn't so much a rant as it is just needing to write it out. I've had so much s*** in my life the last 4 years.............. It just needs to stop! Sorry for your loss. It has not been a good year; lost my mother last week. Now I'm worried about my dad. Drove to the course this morning, trunk wouldn't open. Not with the key fob, not with the trunk release button on the dash. So I drove to the dealer; a guy released the back seats and crawled over two sets of clubs and a push cart to pull the emergency trunk release. I can't get an appointment to get it fixed until Friday. I guess I have to transfer clubs to my truck for a few days. That stinks! Electronic issue or mechanical? Hopefully the 2 guys playing today can bring it back close so I can do my work as the anchor leg tomorrow. That playoff picture is starting to look bleak seeing as we've only got 2-3 golfers that are even playing decent right now. To add some salt in the wound, they've aerated the greens. Man it's a shame because they were in absolutely phenomenal shape the past few weeks. I use to work in computer support over a decade ago. Will never go back to the regular phone again for business. Much better for typing, viewing docs and much better battery life. Even talked the Mrs. into a 7 plus when she upgraded.
