Kkaw1988
I for sure do this. But most of the balls I have built up have never been hit. Balls I wouldn't normally use that I get for birthdays or Christmas etc. so I'll use those before getting into the gamers. Peaksy68
I always start a scoring round with a new ball, except if I've forgotten to restock! I think if you go in with negative mind set about losing balls, your more likely to do just that. Mind you, If Ilose one early, I just grab a used one, and if going well don't swap in another new one. TSauer
I have two pockets in my bag dedicated to balls. The lower pocket is the balls I don't care for, the shag balls. The pocket above it is where I keep my more premium balls, the ones I do mind losing. I usually start off with a good ball, and if I lose that and I'm unsure of how many more I plan on losing, I then start grabbing balls from the lower pocket. Rusty1885
I'd usually play good but already-played ball:). At least you know how the ball is going to react. I used to play cheap(er) balls on tougher or on courses I've never seen but it just made it worse. At least nowadays the cheaper balls perform 80% of the good ones so it's not too bad. dadivots
Often, as here, people will say if you play with a ball you are willing to loose then your mind set might go toward some negative thoughts, etc. I think thats true. Being on the course everyday 'good' balls were never a problem, along with plenty of the 'others'. But there was always a time when the others had to be played meaning it was time to get back on the hunt for more good ones. So all the thoughts of I can afford to loose this one are no mystery to me. The, or a lack of, concern for the ball, shot, swing and the rest can indeed be the case for the fact that a ball that is not "right" is in play. Eventually the point was reached that the only thought was, instead; this ball is going to get pured. If it doesnt, (and goes byebye) we gave it 100%. Many a non cut cutshot disappeared just that way with those balls. But many a ahaaa was found to. Still do it today. Pull one that is other than the gamer and on a hole that needs all of it all the way to the hole. Freedom and Focus for pure impact, rather than an overswing in my case with the "sh--ties", has been the benefit gained from those other balls. Tazz Grip n Rip it When I find golf balls in the woods I just throw them in my bad, eventually I take them out and sort them, I put all the tour balls (prov1, v1x, chrome soft, and those types) in a bag, then when I go to places or play in outings, I dig out about a dozen or so of those tour balls, and use them, that way I am still using a good ball, but I don't have any $$$ invested in them. So if I lose them it don't matter. I am just returning them to where I found them. Lefties are always in their Right Mind

BigtazzGolf
Well I survived the Mississippi adventure. Played the Cut golf balls I bought and I have to say I did like them. I'll probably even buy more lol. The courses were all great. The Dogwoods in Grenada is a nice track. Came out of the gates and scored well here. Lot of elevation changes and risk reward holes. A must play if your passing thru that area. Saturday and Sunday rounds we played at Dancing Rabbit in Philadelphia,MS. Beautiful courses but lil on the pricey side of things. Not sure I'll be back here any time soon for a couple reasons. One, the logistics of these courses is a headache to get to them and 2, customer service was very lacking. For the rate of these courses I'd expect the full treatment but I get better service from the local muni's here in Memphis.
