cnosil
My guess is that the screws will be used to move weights forwards or backwards on a track. Clockwise moves a weight toward the face and counter clockwise toward the heel. With the PGA show a couple of months out and the PGA tour starting to kick in, i am sure we will start seeing more and more teasers and new equipment. Berg Ryman
Man, you guys are thinking an entirely different way from me. First thing that popped into my head was the the ZTP with XFT tech was back baby!! Think about it, the ability to twist your own face with multiple face designs you could sell as upcharges like sole plates with Triton! Finally, the tech TaylorMade needs to get back to #1!!! Seriously though, I think MPatrick's got this spot on, Jailbreak from the front of the face to the back of the head, but I'd be cool with a sliding weight structure inside the head on those jailbreak bars for CG placement involved as well. What I see is are the two bars back and forth that you can see once you remove the face, with sliding weights positioned like washers on the bars. The washers lock into place once the screws are tightened. It's super out there from a design perspective and I'm not even certain if it's possible or able to be designed in such a way, but that's what I'm visualizing when I'm talking about the internal weight structure. I don’t think the face has to come off, probably twist the red screw and the weight move internally without your seeing them. Probably a click system so you know where they are positioned. I think a removable driver face would be a nightmare waiting to happen due to a lack of structural integrityI was generally talking about your comment about a person customizing if the twist face. Gotcha, ok cool. Yeah, the removable face with different twists as a reference to the older wedge tech from the link, no way that's what's happening. Just a(n) (un)funny joke. Angry Yeti
All I could think was "Man, I bet that'd get wild when I miss and drive from a screw" If it is new method to move CG, I'd like to see how effective it is or if it's just giving a new look to existing tech. If the latter, how is it better or worse at moving CG than sliding weights we have? RickyBobby_PR
While it looks like he screws will turn I can imagine there would be moveable weights inside the head. I’m hedging my bet is a similar concept to jaibreak but TM will show how the horizontal stabilization improves the stability and generates better ball speed. My only concern is how much the screws could come on to play on a miss in those spots. Based on the high toe and low heel misses that are prominent amongst amateurs my guess is the heel one is more likely in play.
