GaryF
20 minutes ago, ILMgolfnut said: I subscribe to Peacock and Paramount +, but solely for sports; I don't stream anything otherwise. I might make an exception when Peacock starts streaming Oppenheimer later this month. I was tempted to look at Bass Reeves because the real Reeves was based in Fort Smith, AR, where I used to live. But I never have. I subscribed to Peacock+ when they were added to the Big Ten TV contract and they offered a special rate last June and I haven’t been disappointed. Unlike BSPN+ and BTN+ they do offer some good non sports programming. In fact we’ve been binge watching many years worth of Law and Order, but also enjoyed the Dr. Death seasons. Last month we purchased Oppenheimer on Apple+. It was ok good but maybe because of its length I feel I missed some bits and pieces. I put the book on my Christmas list and will start reading the book once I finish another I’m reading. Speaking of which, we watched Lessons in Chemistry on Apple+ and really enjoyed it. Afterwards I read the book and I felt the author destroyed a good storyline by adding her negative personal bias about all things men, all things religion, all bad things in the world at least every 3 pages. I’m not disregarding the struggles women have had, and certainly open to hearing about them but I read for entertainment and it was over the top for me. For the tv series, the produces cleaned it up a lot.
