CB Lobo 4 Life
I have found iron shafts more and more fascinating as I go on and the fact that they can do with steel what they can do. For me, I have been massively impressed with the Project X LZ shafts. I love the feel, and the way it loads, and the flight is perfect! What I found even more interesting was how the shafts in the Haywood irons are. The KBS Tour (X-Stiff), performs just as well if not better in some ways. I was a little nervous when Josh said that would fit me the best. However, now that I have played a little bit with them I love them! KBS may have sold me for future shaft purchases. arodrig29, Jeremy Meyer, Steven van Vooght and 6 others 8 1 Quote DRIVER - TSR3 9* Ventus TR Blue TX 70g, 3 WOOD - TSR3 15* Ventus TR Red TX 80g, 5 WOOD - TSR3 18* Ventus Blue VC TX 90g IRONS - ZX7 MKII (5, 6, & 7), Z Forged (8, 9, &PW) WEDGES - SM9 50* D Grind, 54* D Grind, & 60* M Grind PUTTER - Spider Tour 36", SuperStroke ZENERGY XL TOUR 3.0+ w/50g counterbalance weight BALL - Maxfli Tour X, TP5x, & Tour B X (Testing) Home Course: Snowflake Municipal

hoppman
For me it has been UST 780 ES Smacwrap Stiff. The weight has worked, help take strain and pain off my elbow from hitting off mats, and has been very consistent with my ZX 5 MKII heads. I have tried some other graphite iron shafts such as Aerotech Steelfiber, Misubishi MMT, and Fujikura Axiom, but the UST have been the best for me. Note on the Axioms, they are stiiff as hell, actually too stiff for my taste. MGoBlue100, arodrig29, Will A and 1 other
Elidmartin18
In my last set of irons (Callaway Rogue X), the UST MAMIYA Recoil 95g Graphite shafts were nice, but just a little too whippy. When I got my current irons (Mizuno JPX 921 Hot Metal) I wanted to go back to the steel shaft so they currently have the Nippon NS Pro 950GH Neo and I love them. They are still regular flex so they have a little bend to them but I feel much more confidence swinging them. jonwrightphotos, buckpillar, MGoBlue100 and 1 other 4 Quote WITB (Lefty) Driver: Rogue w/ Tensei White 65 X Stiff Shaft Wood: Rogue 3 Wood 15 degree w/ Synergy Blue 60 R Shaft Hybrids: RAZR X 2 Hybrid 18 degree w/ Regular flex stock shaft Fusion FT 3 Hybrid 20 degree w/ Aldila NVS Stiff Irons: JPX 921 Hot Metal 5-Gap Wedge: 588 Chrome 56 degree RTX 60 degree Putter: Select GOLO Balls: ProV1 or Tour X

Shrek74
Admittedly I haven't tried a ton of various shafts over the years. Been pretty much zoned in on stuff that works well for me. So I'll start there. Project X HZRDUS Red/Blue/Black/Yellow - been using these in my woods for several years now and they seem to really work with my swing. Red works great with my FW woods. Blue/Yellow have been good for driver and FW woods. The Black are great in my hybrids. I've said for several years now how I wish PX would come out with a HZRDUS line for irons (not just the silver). HZRDUS Black iron shafts would be killer! True Temper Dynamic Gold 120 S300 - these have been in my irons for a few years now and they're awesome. A bit lighter than the OG's without any loss of that OG feel. PX LZ are another great option in that 120g weight for the 6.0 flex. A bit more flex in the mid "loading zone" but they also feel pretty damn good. I'm looking forward to going graphite in my iron shafts this year. Steelfiber, Recoil, Recoil Dart, MMT, etc are all of the high quality and high performance variety. CFreddie
Still on my "honeymoon" with KBS Tour Lites, but I'm really digging the feel / performance. In the past, I've been a fan of Nipon Modus 105s, but they had a slightly different flight in comparison to my current shafts. Kris JL
I have been playing the DG 120 S300's for a long time now and I've been very happy with them--they're predictable and the flight characteristics suit my swing quite well. That said however, there are many good options out there nowadays and I'm certainly open to trying some of the newer alternatives. I've heard good things about the Nippon offerings and must admit I'm intrigued by the Axiom--I've never been a fan of graphite shafts in my irons, but I love the Ventus velocore performance, so when I get fit for my next set they'll definitely be ones I'll test out (though my 714MB's might last forever). Picked up a couple of wedges with the PX Lz 6.5s recently so I'm looking forward to opening day 2024 when I'll get to put them to the test in earnest.
