I like the big Z logo at the bottom of the club. If they would just rename the Cleveland irons and woods to Srixon and keep the Cleveland name for the wedges, they might get more looks. Really underrated clubs imo.

Okay, I've done some research on these irons in my area.

First of all, calling Srixon/Cleveland in Huntington Beach was absolutely no help at all.  They show as being "sold out" on line and the two CS reps I talked to were clueless.   Neither could find any outlet in my state that had the clubs.  Both seemed to have trouble locating the state itself!   One finally just gave up and told me to go to a PGA Superstore.    The other rep told me to go to Dick's.   She was seemingly unaware that Dick's does not currently sell any Srixon clubs.   For a company trying to launch new product to a wider network of locations, Srixon has a long way to go.

So next I started calling stores.   We have one decent chain in my state, Uinta Golf, and I talked to three locations.   Guys at all three locations were WELL aware of the buzz around these irons.   The first store said they sold their one set immediately and were back-ordered on two more sets, one sold to the shop repair tech.   He suggested I call the other stores.   The other two stores were both sold out of their 3 total sets, and had four more on order.    They had no demo 7 irons to try.

So all I was able to do was leave my name and the minute the sets come in, I've got to drive 50 miles to test a taped up 7 before that set gets picked up by the guy who ordered it.  The very helpful last guy I talked to said that I might also look at the Bridgestone J40, a very similar looking Endo forged cavity back set with a similar V-sole grind.   It was the set he plays although he thinks he'll switch to the z745 when he gets more time to thoroughly test it.   After looking at them online, I'd have to agree, they look extremely similar, although the Bridgestones are shorter and more traditionally lofted (8i is 39 degrees vs. 36 degrees in the Srixon).

Brilliant effort from srixon - what's the point in making some nice looking sticks without anyway of getting them out there?

Such a shame, I know their not going to shift 1000's of sets but it can't be that hard to get some demo irons out there, or am I being unfair?

Sounds like their using the same approach in the USA and over here. In Norway it's custom fit only. And just 5-6 stores.

In my opinion Srixon is a brand that's not going away quickly. They're not in a hurry. They want to establish the brand, create the identity. Think about - yes, they can feed 1000s of sets to the market. That could give them trouble with customer service and deliveries to stores. At the moment they're the almost mysterious got-to-have brand in irons.

Is just me, or does anyone else notice a whole lot of design similarities here?

Wouldn't we be saying something if these were current irons from Ping, Callaway, TMag, Titleist and Nike?

Very true mark - don't know why but I look at these and the bridgestone just looks best to me....even though they are all very similar.

There is only so much you can do aesthetically with a players CB. All but one of them have the triangle in the muscle. But there are a lot of design differences.

The Mizuno is hollow and not forged in the longer and mid irons.

Srixon has tungsten in long and mid irons, face milling, and more aggressive V sole as compare to the similar looking B Stone.

Tourstage is basically a bladed iron with the tiniest of cavities.

And the RC really doesn't fit in that well with these.

Why doesn't it fit?  Because they shaved off the tiny top of the triangle in theirs?
