  1. Definitely giving this a big follow.  Looking forward to seeing what you can do!

I'm confident that this is going to be a great follow and you'll be making some solid gains in your game soon.  It's never easy when you find yourself stuck in a rut but you'll work your way out of it.

As others have said, start with those basics of grip and alignment and then see what's going on from there.

We'll be here along the way to hopefully not give you bad advice and watch the progress!

    That's some impressive gapping!

Thanks! The forged Tec irons fit me really well.  Just goes to show that sometimes stronger lofts are good (which was something I was really concerned about going into #CC4).  I know my gapping wasn't nearly as good with my old 714 AP2s, particularly around the 5 and 6 irons and hybrid slot.

Seems I’m right in line with that I should be seeing based on the Red 7 grouping.  My total numbers are a little longer than the carry+roll they show, but I’m also not stoping my 7 and 6 iron within 6 feet most of the time.  Also I’m sure that my 6 iron being 182 vs this chart showing 175 total has more to do with the loft of my irons than my efficiency with them.  You can also throw me in the don’t make a full swing with wedges group.  My max 60* is probably closer to 80 than 90…. But even my max is prob closer to a 3/4 with them.

This is a cool chart and one I saved.  Hopefully I’ll pick up some more speed and can re-check my numbers after to make sure I’m still in line!

This is the other difference between the PlaneMate and Monte's teaching.  The PM protocols for followthrough require a hinged trail wrist through impact.  In the NTC video Monte teaches that in the Cast B to 12 o'clock the trail wrist must lose flex.  If you do that with the PM, it definitely results in the long green band on the other side of the forearms.  Martin Chuck says that's bad, but he never explains why.  I personally don't see that as a problem.  I can do it the PM way or the Monte way and still have a good strike on the ball.  I am leaning towards Monte's method.

So, the takeaway and the followthrough are different, but the PM is very useful for me to work on Monte's Cast A to 8 o'clock and impact.

I like the planemate follow through feeling, as it seems to help me with some consistent pitch and 3/4 shots.

but I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to take a full swing without that band crossing over.

I wonder if Cobra and other companies might change it up for various models more. Like Callaway, the Max LS is two degrees flatter than the most forgiving Max option knowing most better players need low spin and prefer not to go left. So the RAD could easily be 1 flatter I feel.

You’re basically correct, but they do it based on loft.

the 9* heads for the Radspeed and Radspeed XB come with 57.5* lie angles while the 10.5* heads are 58.5*. 12* is another degree up at 59.5*.

Sending now, thanks so much and first time getting lucky on something like this so pretty pumped. I will be sure to share what emerges from the mystery box.

Whoa! congrats man.  But with this whole mystery box business I really figured @Golfspy_CG2 was just grabbing a random box from this office that he hasn't had time to open and sending them out! 🤣

Looking forward to seeing what HQ has put together for you.
