I haven’t been in an accident since I started driving. So I was extremely embarrassed and shocked that I could possibly back into a parked car... Then 5 seconds after I asked my boys to stop rough housing they shattered a big slider window, and one of my sons is in the ER right now getting stitches on his hip/butt... thankfully it wasn’t his face or a major artery/vein. Definitely will be going inside at any signs of a thunderstorm from now on. Tell your kids you love them people! A reminder today for me that although his pain caused me pain, it could have been extremely worse. Chicks dig stitches...when he gets older, the story will change to "I took on two robbers trying to steal my PS4 so let them have it!". Seriously though, glad they are both ok. As for the backing up thing, we've all done it. I backed up my minivan into a tree (while looking at the backup camera, lol). Had to get the last inch or two of parking). Now, just like my putts, I'm leaving everything short because I don't want to do it again....so if you see a minivan that's only 2/3 into a parking spot, chances are it might be me MDGolfHacker Rickp, MattF, tony@CIC and 3 others 5 1 Quote What's In This Lefty's Bag? For folks like me that cannot hit hybrids consistently, however, it's tougher to find a used set that lines up with what I need. My 4i normally stays in the closet, I'll bag it when I know there's a lot of tee shots I could use it on, but I do like my 5i and don't want to grab a set that doesn't have one. Looking exclusively at graphite seems to really exacerbate that issue too. I can find sets with 5i in steel without a problem, seems like the majority of used sets in graphite start at 6i (or even 7i in a lot of cases). tony@CIC, Rickp and MattF 3 Quote In my Big Max hybrid bag: ST-X 10.5* Kai'li Blue R Flex ST-Z 15* Kai'li Blue R Flex ST-Z 4h Linq Blue R Flex Halo XL 5i-DW CBX 54* & 58* ER5 Tour S
Shankster
Is it just me, or do a lot of used iron sets now start at 6i?That’s because the 6 iron is anywhere from around 25-32° nowadays. Older clubs that would be a 4 or 5 iron. Just because it is a 6 iron doesn’t mean it is any easier to hit then when a 4 was stamped on the bottom of it. Technology helps, but 25° is 25° whether it is a 4,5,6,7 iron. tony@CIC
My W/S C300's from last year; 6i=27, 5i =24*, 4i-21*. I also carry a 9W which is 23.5*. Not much difference in gapping between the 5i and the 9W. The big difference is hitting the ball out of our deep rough. There's no way that 9W would work for me in that situation. Also there are days when I'm hitting my irons well and the wood not so well and vice versa. Guess what I'm saying is that for my game gapping is important, but equally important is having a lot of different 'arrows' or versatility in the bag. russtopherb, Rickp, cnosil and 1 other 4 Quote Left Hand orientation SIM 2 D Max with Fujikura Air Speeder Shaft Cobra Radspeed 3W/RIptide Shaft 410 Hybrids 22*, 26* Cobra Speed Zone 6-GP/Recoil ESX 460 F3 Shafts SM7 54* Wedge Glide 3.0 60* Wedge O Works putter V3 NX9-HD - 4 Wheel EZGO TXT 48v cart - too many shoes to list and so many to buy And BAG Boy Golf Balls: Vice Pro Plus 2020 Official Tester Beginning Driver Speed - 78 2019 Official Tester 410 Driver 2018 Official Tester C300
