hckymeyer
The moment a lot of us have been waiting years for is almost upon us. Tiger's return to competitive golf on tour. He's teeing it up with Patrick Reed for the first 2 rounds starting Thursday. This should all be no surprise unless you've had your head in a hole the past week. What remains to be seen is how he will play. So lets have some fun and hear your Tiger predictions for the week. Under par? Make the Cut? Top 10? In contention? Chili dip chips? What say you guys? Orange Hog
Don't think he'll be contending for anything come Sunday but it's exciting to see him healthy and coming back. My guess is he'll post something between 6 to 10 under par for the event. It's not a hard Tour level track so he should be able to put up some decent scores for his first event back in action. Really I just want to see him hitting some good shots again. No yips, no back spasms...just good TW golf.

Mr_Theoo
I think we will see some flashes. Joey East Coast
I think he will finish 2nd to last, with the last place person on full-eject by the end of the 3rd round. That being said, the other 17 guys have been playing at a high level steadily for the majority of 2016. This isn't some ol' Monday qualifier sneak-in tourney. Golfspy_CG2
Well as I told a friend yesterday morning that didn't realize it was such as small field, I predict a Top 20 finish...LOL But seriously, I see him shooting a couple good rounds below par but also struggling in a couple, to finish a few below par. I certainly hope for everyone especially him, that he doesn't have the short game yips again. I don't think anybody, Tiger fan or not wants to see that. Undershooter
We'll see some flashes and some rust. Probably somewhere around par for the score. Maybe a couple of under. Peaksy68
It's a bit of a stretch to call this a tournament. He certainly is coming back on his own terms, with as little pressure as possible. He will probably be ok, but how much it really means is debatable. What will really count is playing in a full field tournament, with a cut, on a course where a solid short game is needed. Until then we won't know where Tiger is at. 849 Pro Evenflow Riptide 6.0 F8 3 & 5 Woods Project X Evenflow Blue 6.0 TS2 7 Wood Project X Evenflow Blue 6.0 MP18 MMC - Project X LZ 5.5 Zipcore Wedges 50,54,58 - Project X LZ 5.5 MLA Tour Mallet 33" Z Star Pioneer bag buggy

BigtazzGolf
I think he'll be middle of the pack in finishing. Like my game, Tiger will show instances of greatness, but also like my game reality will bring him back to us mortals. I hope he is healthy and his mind is in the right place for golf. The game needs a guy that dominants weekly. Who scares you by just being in the field. We need Tiger badly imo The game needs him more. SPY VIP GolfSpyC Posted November 30, 2016 SPY VIP Share Posted November 30, 2016 TW will finish middle of the pack - I'll say 12th for fun - He'll have one round which gets us all thinking he can win another major (Probably round 3) - but there will be enough shots which remind us he's human and hasn't played competitively in a loooooooooong time. He will probably be ok, but how much it really means is debatable. What will really count is playing in a full field tournament, with a cut, on a course where a solid short game is needed. Until then we won't know where Tiger is at. This is a home game and he has been playing the course for who knows how long. I don't expect any rust in the short game. If he is truly healthy, he will do well. I am not a Tiger fan, but I think he should be in the Top 5. If he finishes last like he did in 2014, I think he is done. I agree with Peaksy. This isn't a true tournament where he will be traveling, getting practice in on a relatively unfamiliar course, and have 154 players to beat. When he finishes in the top 10 in a tour event, then I will begin to get excited. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
Philly Golf Guy
Safest bet is bottom third to middle of the pack. IMO, his struggles since fire hydrant gate are all mental, regardless of the injuries that have popped up. He's been playing golf, the swing apparently looks good, but how he is mentally won't be seen until he tees off competitively, with the cameras rolling. So really, I think this is either the beginning of the end, where he realizes it truly is over and we see a bowing out plan, or his current health and hopefully improved mental health propel him back into the upper tiers and we see him competing on Sunday again. But IF he uses this as momentum, starts playing better and ultimately starts winning again, including majors, it'd be one of the best stories in golf. golferKen
Will Tiger be rusty...YES. But this is the kind of tourney he needs to start with.
