Forgot where I heard it, but pretty much any pro that is playing a Chromesoft ball is not playing the retail version. Except for Phil's triple track ball. Kinda blew my mind hearing that.

It’s been mentioned here, in the blog comments on the mgs ball test, she social media and most other forums. Granted they aren’t the only company with a ball that pros aren’t playing retail version. Other brands have some players in retail version, a tweaked version or a previous release.
