Thin2win
I mean, they look good. But I'm a wedge skeptic. I've hit just about all of them, gamed just about all of them and could put any set in my bag for a round and feel good for a about them. Right now I've got the Kirkland 's. And 3 of those for less than 1 of these is going to keep these out of the bag(or any other brand for that matter). No. Read the article so it makes it more clear than I can, but this is the first wedge ever that has a weighting system to adjust for numerous things in one’s swing, the least of which is one’s lower hand position at halfway back. Yeah, if someone is buying on price, right off the rack, mass produced wedges, they won’t be interested in spending more to have ones that actually fit. Nothing wrong with that, but this technology is brand new. Take a look at the article and the YouTube video I posted. bens197, aerospace_ray and Thin2win 3 Quote Driver: Ping G430 Max 9*, Ping Tour 70X Fairway: Ping G425 15*, Ping Tour 70X Hybrid: Ping G425 22*, Ping Tour 80X Irons: Ping i230 4-GW, TT DG X100 Wedges: SMS 50D/54V/58DModus 130 stiff, +1” Putter: EAS 1.0 Ball: Titleist 2023 AVX

Shankster
Hmm. I tend to leave the face open a lot... maybe this would work, I’ve been wondering for years why wedges are stuck in the Stone Age. Yeah there have been a few “advances”... but this seems to be the biggest. Too bad they don’t have a way to move it up too, for the ability to move the COG up. Shapotomous
I like the heel grind relief, that is something i custom ground into my 49, 53 & 57 using some shop tools. Honestly that is a big reason I don't use new wedges because I'd feel so bad grinding away at a new SM8 or Zipcore right out of the box! And the weight screws are an improvement over my lead tape, but realistically I don't think I could help myself and some tape would find its way on the club. I used Edel wedges for years before trying Vega this go round, and the built-in relief is second to none. There’s no off the rack wedge I’ve ever been able to lay as flat as an Edel. dlow206
I checked with my local Edel fitter and its $150 for the fitting if i don't buy anything, $100 if i do. I assume that the cost would be the same for all fittings performed by Edel employees (whereas the cost would be different for Club Champion, etc.) PMookie 1 Quote Follow my golf journey to break into the 80s Tester for the Titleist TSi Driver Spring 2020 MGS Tester for the Fujikura Motore X Shaft Updated 07/15/2022 Driver: Rogue St Max LS - Autoflex Fairway Woods: Rogue Max St 3HL and 7 Wood Irons: JPX 921 Hot Metal 5 to AW - Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff parallel tip Wedges: Glide 4.0 54 and 58 Putter: PLD Custom Kushin
dlow206
Trying to get an appointment setup a few weeks out for a fitting with the regional Edel fitter. Hoping the fitting is as extensive as the David Edel fitting process I have seen online. I have never been fit for any wedges, so I have no idea what bounce will fit me. Historically, i have taken big divots, but that was more due to a flaw in my swing with lowpoint control. I've overnight turned almost into a picker (not quite that drastic, but take pretty thin divots now).
