Does the Odyssey 2ball improve lining up a putt.

Recommended Posts

Currently game a SC mallet with mild toe hang (7.5).  The single yellow line is difficult for my eyes to line up with my expected line. The putter was fitted with cameras and vest. Included was instructions for stroke length and getting eyes over the ball. My worst number was setup for line. Speed is not an issue. I’m aware of pushes and pulls, but some good strokes are a little off. Now that more options for mallets with some toe hang are available, is the 2ball proven to be helpful to line up putts, more so than just visual lines?
The Chromesoft ball with 3 lines is not a starter. I am way more comfortable with a Pro-V1x getting into putting range from the tee.

For some people the answer would be yes,  for others no.   Your best option is to try one yourself and see if it works for you.

I think it does. But it also helps you hit the sweet spot as well.

Thanks for the replies.  I was fitted for a Scotty 7.5, with a SAM and length to get eyes over the ball.  I can control speed and I know when I hit off center.  Just not confident even with a single line on the mallet that I'm aiming correctly.

No Putts Given gives high marks to Evenflow, but apparently only fit in San Diego and I'd like to see if it is any help on alignment.

Jerry Kelly won last week with a 2 ball Odyssey.  He is Srixon/Cleveland contract and the 2 ball is recent.  Might give the T version (mild toe hang to match the Scotty) a try.  Hard part is finding a LH in any length at any store.
