Rogue ST Max 3-wood vs. Titleist TSR?

I recently got fitted for a Callaway Rogue ST Max 3HL wood with a Mitsubishi Tensei Blue shaft, stiff flex. The fitter I went to only fits Ping, Callaway, and Mizuno, so I didn’t try out any other brands. Wondering if anyone has tried the Titleist TSR woods vs. Rogue ST, and if it’s worth trying the TSRs before I commit to a purchase. Or if there is a brand other than those I tested that I should try out. My driver swing speed is 105 mph. Thanks!

There is no bad equipment especially when you are talking about the big name brands in the sport.

What it comes down to is does the golfer like the look, sound and feel of a club. Does the club head design for their swing and provide launch characteristics that match what they want to do on the course. If so it’s a good club for that golfer.

The best thing to do is go to a fitter that carries or all brands and compare what you were fit to with titleist and see if there is anything that performs better about it.

As much a people want to hear something is good or bad there’s nobody on here that can say the TSR is better for you than the Callaway you were fit to or that the tsr2 is better than the tsr3 ro if either are better than the tsi for you because we aren’t you and dont have your swing or your preferences

I don’t disagree—that’s why I went and got fitted. I was just asking for others’ experiences. I won’t buy something or not buy something just because someone else says it’s good or bad, but seeking out other points of view helps with the decision-making process. It’s why I like this site.

I got fitted for the rogue 3w and driver with the same stiff tensei blue prior to the tsr line coming out.  when the tsr line came out I went back to my fitter and tried them and the results were night and day better for me.

Same Tensei blue shaft? I thought I saw that the Tensei blue was stock with the TSRs as well.

it is, but I was trying to say that when I went back and hit the tsr2(also with tensei blue) everything felt better and I ended up switching to the titleist driver and 3w

Thanks! That’s helpful. I’ll have to go hit the TSRs.

Why wouldn’t you try any and all makes/models you’re interested in - no one can satisfy your curiosity better than you can yourself? I wouldn’t want to wonder about some other club after making a purchase. I don’t have any experience with the new Rogue ST, but I just replaced all my Rogue metals with TSR’s and couldn’t be more pleased with the TSR’s (see sig for details). FWIW

  • Titleist TSR2 11° HZRDUS Red CB 50 6.0 w Lamkin UTx Midsize
  • Titleist TSR2 16.5º HZRDUS Red 60 CB 6.0 & TSR2 21º HZRDUS Black 4G 70 6.0 w Lamkin UTx Midsize

  • LAB DF3 w Accra
  • Maxfli Tour & ProV1

I know I tried a bunch and had made a choice but as soon as I saw the tsr release, I had to go try them and I'm glad I did.
