rjacobs4
As of right now it will be my Ping G425 LST with a stock regular shaft (I tried others at the fitting but in the end hit the stock shaft best). I hit it good and consistent so it’s my gamer. But…I’m starting to feel like I’d like to pick up a little more distance. Thinking about the G430 Max or Max 10k but I’ll let any fitting I do lead the way! hoppman
Callaway Rogue st max ls with Tensei Blue 60gm stiff is still my gamer, I have really liked this driver and been consistent and long with it. That being said, there are several new drivers I want to try this year including Black Ops, Callaway AI Smoke, Ping G430(ugh turbulators) Cobra Darkspeed, TM Qi10 etc. Looking for forgiving low spin driver that is long and straight, the unicorn driver. But I can't even test anything until I heal from back fusion surgery and may not even try to get fit for a new driver until I am fully healed and have some back flexibility again, maybe next year. jswatson0917
Back in December I attended a driver fitting where I was able to try out a Callaway Paradym, a Cobra AeroJet, and Ping G430 Max and LST. After hitting a few balls with each driver with a different combination of shafts and settings the Ping G430 Max was the one that felt best to me and gave me the best numbers. What I was fitted to is Ping G430 Max 9° Project X HZRDUS Red RDX 60G 5.5 shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 Grip with the weight set to Draw and the hosel set to the little plus. Before I attended the fitting I had also bought a Maltby KE4 TC Max Driver Mitsubishi Kuro Kage Black HPB 60R Shaft and Lamkin ST Grip. I have been spending the last couple months taking these two out to the course on alternate trips to see which one works out better for me. So far I seem to hit the Ping straighter more consistently than the Maltby, I was also able smash a 234 yard drive with the Ping over the weekend, which is an excellent distance for me. Here are the Trackman numbers for the Ping G430 Max Club Speed Smash Fac. Ball Speed Attack Ang. Launch Ang. Spin Rate Carry Total Dyn. Loft Club Path Average 83.2 1.45 120.5 3.41 3.7 2591 158.6 190.3 15.6 -2.0 Aero Jet Numbers Average 84.4 1.46 123.4 4.11 4.0 2655 177.3 206.1 15.8 -2.3 Paradym Numbers Average 84.0 1.44 120.5 2.81 4.1 3166 168.3 194.6 16.7 -2.6 I am still going to play around or two with the Maltby just to be sure the consistency I am seeing with the Ping is because of the Ping and not a change in my swing. Frozen Spy
I was just fit for a Cobra aerojet and am kinda surprised that the dark speed didn't do better in the tests. I'm not a Cobra fanboy but since picking up this driver my misses are so much smaller and it has a lot of pop when you strike the ball. When your first swing makes you go wow the expectations are high.
RVAJIM
Last year I did a very thorough testing process to ID both the optimum driver head and then shaft for my game. It was a great experience and glad I invested the time and money. The process yielded a great fit with the Callaway Rogue LS and Ventus Blue TS6 for the shaft. Having all last Summer and Fall to get a good feel with it and then working this winter to optimize launch angle and other key metrics, I feel like 2024 should be a good year from the tee box! hoppman and Bohnson 2 Quote Irons: PXG 211 irons Driver: Callaway Rogue driver, Fuji Ventus TR Blue Wedges: Vokey SM8 - 50, 54, 58 deg Putter: Odyssey Works #7 Quote "90% of putts that are short don't go in", Yogi Berra

JSki_Golf
Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of my current driver to show you, but I'm extremely excited about it. I'm currently using the Titleist TSR3 driver, which has been a great addition to my golf bag. I've paired it with the BGT Brava 58g X shaft, which has given me excellent control and distance on the course. In the coming weeks, I also plan to test out the new UST LinQ Blue shaft. I've heard great things about it and I'm eager to see how it performs on the course. Overall, I'm really happy with my current setup and can't wait to see how it continues to improve my game. Maxle
G430 Max. It won the fitting in early Aug 2023. Before then I was hovering around 43% FIR. In the 10 rounds I played to finish up last season my FIR went up to 71%. Its not ENTIRELY up to the driver (I made a change to fix my tempo in transition. It would get entirely too quick, so bad that I was nearly starting the downswing before I got done with my backswing, and this was causing the dreaded high toe, low spin hook or (even worse) the low heel block). BUT between sorting out the tempo and getting the new stick, my driving at this point is as good as it has been in some years. I have a feeling the G430 will last for some time hoppman 1 Quote Ping G430 Max Alta CB 55S (open) Callaway Mavrik 20* H Mizuno Hot Metal 5-G Cleveland CBX2 52*/ CBX Full Face 56/ RTX 4 60* Cobra King Vintage Stingray 20 ChromeSoft
