Northern Monkey
With the imminent arrival of my Ghost bag, and the discussion around what you can fit in the pockets, I was wondering what everyone carries in their bag. I’m terrible for hoarding all sorts in my bag and know I need to streamline so thought I’d get everyone’s view. In my bag at present I have Waterproof jacket and trousers, Rangefinder, Bushnell Phantom GPS, c. 3 dozen balls, 6 gloves, pair of rain gloves, woolly hat, bag of tees, 4 ball markers, 2 divot tools, half a dozen pencils, woolly hat, 2 microfibre towels, BootBuddy club/ball cleaner, 2 long sleeved sweater, score card wallet As well as this attached to the outside of the bag I have 2 towels, 2 bag tags, small brush/groove cleaner berkeleybob, BogeyBrigade, Rob Person and 3 others 5 1 Quote Driver: G430 Max Fairway: LTDx Max 3 wood Hybrid: King Tec 3 hybrid Irons: Forged Tec 4-PW + GW Wedges: Jaws 56 SM9 52 Putter: Mallet Ball: Chrome Soft
Rob Person
Hmmm. What don't I carry? I had to start sourcing external use options!!! A clip on magnet base, 5 or 6 more carabiners for the D rings and neck clips, retractable cords, etc I actually have reduced the amount I had last year by 50% I'd say. It's hard for the boy scout/leo in me not to be prepared for any situation. At one point I even had a spare med kit in the bag for "just in case" moments. When I start walking on courses eventually, I will have to have another serious conversation with myself about it! berkeleybob, hoppman, The TXBexar and 4 others 3 4 Quote WITB- Driver -Titleist 910D, 3w- Titleist 910F, 5hy/7hy- Titleist 910H, 6-PW - Stix , 52⁰, 56⁰, 60⁰ - Stix , Putter- AI-ONE DB / Lombardi Tour 34 custom Just an old newbie golfer, trying to learn and improve 1 club at a time. Triple_Putt
Hmmm let me think... Usually 3 sleeves of balls(I lose a ton, been working on that), a small bag of wooden tees, divot tool, lightweight windbreaker/rain jacket, small bottle of spray sunscreen, 2 bottles of water, 3 gloves( each one in worst condition than the previous), rangefinder, the allen key and weights for my Edel irons, a sharpie, one large towel, and a scrub brush. EricP
9 Balls, smallish bag of tees and ball markers, divot tool, ping club key, rangefinder, baseball hat, 2 granola bars. 2 towels on the outside, bag tag from Random Golf Club and a club cleaner. If it's going to rain I'll stuff in a rain jacket. And I usually have a drink or 2 in the cooler section. PrismFlopper
Balls…. God I will never understand why I carry so many balls in my bag. Probably from the days when I’d lose a dozen a round but I have to have at least 20 in there for god knows what reason. The ones I actually use are in a side pocket and then I have like 2 sleeves on top flights in case I’m afraid to lose a ball on that hole. other than that I have 3 towels (1 for me, one for cleaning clubs, 1 good luck charm). Usually keep a this rain jacket and/ or a this quarter zip that I’ll never put on but I just have it as a just incase. 2 gloves, 3 ball markers cause I always lose them, 2 divot tools again cause I misplace them or forget to take them out of my pocket, small box of tees and smaller box of small tees, rangefinder, usually a tin of any, 2 soft beer sleeves, club cleaner, small first aid kit, those bug repellent bracelets cause they work well enough for what I need from them, extra socks, sharpie for ball marking, jeez this is making m3 realize I have to go through my bag again and I’m sure there’s more stuff in there. bit of a gear junkie so I like to have everything I could possibly need in there. Typically if I’m on the course don’t go through the bag cause sometimes there some spicy protection in there also just cause I don’t leave it anywhere unsecured and don’t go anywhere without it typically. ctg44
About a dozen balls - mostly Maxfli Tour X and a few ProV1x right now All wooden...just hate the sound of plastic tees- Some broken for par 3, driving iron, and FW wood usage and full tees for driver usage Two (2) divot tools - 1 primary I carry almost all the time and 1 in another pocket of the bag as a backup Microfiber towels - At least 3 - 1 to get wet1 to keep dry for clubs / balls, and 1 for drying hands and face Nikon Coolshot Pro II rangefinder USB C charging cable for phone (in case I forgot to charge it) Ibuprofen / Pepto / bandaids / gauze tape / white hockey stick tape (best stuff for keeping a bandaid from falling off when sweating) / etc. - i.e. a very small medical / 1st aid kit.
