It’s the same length as my driver as well. I’ll have to remember to measure and post. It’s longer than the TM mini.

When I ordered it, I specified +1” because I wanted to try it a little longer than my BRNR.

I recall you telling me that. It’s as long as my Paradym TD. My TM mini didn’t like the longer shaft I made, so it’s back to the shorter shaft. I can’t wait til Monday to hit both on the course. The C mini will be my main driver for the day, the TM mini will be #2. Again, thank you!!!

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

Ok, lots of work done today with my round in the rain and wind. Lots to discuss…I put the steadfast shaft in the Callaway mini and is a driver length shaft and exactly the same as the shaft that’s in my driver. That shaft in the mini, for me, is money!!! As long as the Paradym TD as distance is concerned. I have the stock shaft in the TM mini and adjusted it to 13.5. Bombed it off the fairway  so I’m setting it up as a strong 3. I can and do hit DOD with the paradym all the time. It’s a go-to shot. I can and did the same with the callaway mini and the TM mini. What I’ve found so far is shaft set-up is key. Steadfast shafts are my shafts. I have them from driver to 4 hybrid. I’m done trying other shafts. All that matters now is length of shaft. I’ve pretty much got that down now too. The good thing is I don’t have to spend any more money on other shafts. I’ve tried as big a variety of shafts as I feel comfortable with and steadfast won and it isn’t even close. I know some of us don’t like steadfast, that’s ok. They’ve changed and have treated me VERY well. So that’s where I’m at.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

After my 3rd round with the Ti 340, I've come to the conclusion this is a very fade-biased club. I've turned it down and adjusted it for draw, but it just doesn't want to. The BRNR keeps my baby draw just fine, so that's going back in the bag. I'm not sure what I'll do with the Ti 340 at this point, but it looks like the classifieds will likely get a new ad. I do still have a Mizuno ST230 Max driver to test, and the 3w and 5w are great so far.

Today I’m completing in a VGA tournament and have decided to use the Callaway mini as my driver. I’m using the TM mini as my 3 wood. I’ve shafted the Callaway with a steadfast stiff shaft. I hit well yesterday so may as well stick with this setup.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

The look of the Callaway is amazing. Love the AI Smoke look in general. I do not hit a 3 wood that well but I would honestly just use it as a driver or stock driver shot when you know you need to hit a fairway. You can use it on par 5's too I would say when you want to go for the green. I tend to just lay up with my hybrid on par 5's unless I know I am getting it there 100%.

I have the blue in 70g, which is the weight my fitter said I should be using. The 60g in the BRNR was just one I had laying around already or I would have gotten it a 70g. At this point, I'm not sure it's worth another $100-150 to get the 60g version. I thought about swapping the RDX Red 75g FW version out of my Stealth+ Rocket 3w I was using last year. I've been using the Red RDX in my FW woods the past couple of years.

This is what the comparison shows in Shot Scope for the rounds I've used both.

image.png.e44fbfa33ca2f92009d4aa04c807dce0.png

It's pretty much a dead heat for strokes gained at this point. Same Right Miss, same average fairway miss distance. BRNR has a bit higher P-Avg distance. Ignore the longest for the BRNR, as it was slightly downhill and dry although I did square it up. 3 rounds with the Ti 340 and 6 with the BRNR.

Maybe I need to give the Ti 340 a few more rounds and adjust the cog a little bit to see if I can take that fade out of the club.

I think you should keep messing with it. I do know that the TM mini for me hates a driver length shaft. I have the callaway in driver length and it does have a fade on some miss-hits but it is straight other than that. I’m going to order another steadfast shaft and shorten it an inch from what it is now but I want to play it the way it is right now.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

I found a 60g version at Mike's for $100 with the Callaway adapter already on it. It's at 44.75" currently, but I'll have it cut down and regripped for about $5. I'll tweak the cog to be -1/D and see what happens.

Interesting. I just found a 60g 6.0 PVD version with the Callaway Green Dot adapter on it. Still needs to be cut down and regripped, but that green dot adapter allows for a -2* of loft adjustment instead of just the -1* the standard one offers. Auction on eBay ends in 8.5 hrs. I may need to jump on that one as another degree stronger would be helpful too.

Value Golf has it for $19.99.

But with the shaft I'm watching on eBay, it's already attached which is nice. There are a couple other options on eBay I'm watching for that shaft with the standard Callaway adapter as well. Just in case someone snipes me.

Callaway green dot adapter is available for left handed players as well."

Ordered the green dot and going to build another shaft. Didn’t play well with it today but my elbow was bothering me. Frustrating but I’m shortening the shaft I’m gonna build.

Sooo struggling today with driver. It’s me not the club because I’m fast with the shoulders and slow with the hips which has caused me to fade. This does give me a chance to try the other newton shaft, which is now in the club for my second round today. Will let you know.

After the second 18, I realize I need a couple days off. Did not drive well with any drivers. I couldn’t get my poop in a group. I cannot say anything about the callaway mini failing because I failed it, and the paradym as well. At least the drives were in play so I could score with my irons, which were on fire for me for 36 holes today. Putter didn’t fail me either. 3 wood (TM mini) was also great. The TM mini is my 3 wood from now on. I even hit it off a root which made my competition cringe. Have to play it where it lies though. So, in conclusion, steadfast is still the best shaft in the callaway mini, I ordered a green dot tip (-2* setting for a callaway) and should see it next week. Have a steadfast that I’m probably switching the TM tip to the green dot tip. -2* would make it a 9.5 so I can really compare it to a driver. Right now I threw a Newton tipped 4 dot shortened to a 43” and want to see how she responds to that. Her name is Carla by the way. There’s a story behind that….maybe when I’m light in la cabesa. Here are the results from today:

Played another round with the Ti340 this past Sunday. I altered the cog to be in the draw setting with -1* loft. It did help, but there were still a few missed right, including at least 2 OB. I did have a nice long 245yd drive with it (not downhill or dry conditions) in our wet conditions. But I lost 4 balls off the tee with it, which doesn't make me very happy. I got the green dot adapter tipped 60g HZRDUS Blue RDX shaft. Now to get it cut down and regripped. Then we'll see if that makes any difference. I also need to get my Mizuno ST230 Max driver out on course as well and see how that does.

Been a few days since I replied to this topic, but I did get the green dot adaptor yesterday, now I just need to re-tip a shaft to try it. I just finished trying the min in my Newton shaft and I still like it in the Steadfast shaft more. I don't like the mini in 44 1/2" so I am thinking about taking a half inch off, testing it there, then re-adjusting as necessary. I am thinking I will end up at 43 1/2" just the same as the TM mini. The Callaway mini goes a long way, longer by about 10 yards over the TM mini, but the TM mini is more accurate. I have the TM mini set up as a strong 3 wood and think I am going to keep it that way. Once I get the Callaway mini set up and dialed in, it could either be my 2 wood or driver replacement. I can and do still hit the Paradym TD off the deck and of course off the tee so I am leaning on the Callaway mini as a 2 wood. I have room in the bag for all three so that's where I am at currently. I do need to get a personalized head cover for it, so I am on the lookout for that. I will be playing tomorrow and will keep it in the Newton til I get the new shaft built.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

Which Newton do you have in it now? I'm curious to learn more about those and the TPT shafts, since I've never really done anything with the "fancier" shafts to this point and the Newton and TPT shafts have had a lot of positivity around them lately.

Sadly, my round from this past Sunday had a hiccup in my Shot Scope "bag." For some reason the X1 sensor that's on the Ti340 was associated with the Mizuno STMax. So all that data from last round went to the Mizuno, which sucks. I may reach out to  SS CS to see if that can be fixed.

I have the 5 DOT in it. Newton shafts are great shafts, and I like them, they need to be tipped for me. I am interested in the TPT shafts, but not at their current price point. Newtons and Steadfasts are my favs right now. Steadfasts are only about $110. Right now I am leaning Steadfast for the final shaft, I do want to play with the 1K TX the club came with, I may shorten and regrip that one to 43 1/2" tonight so I can play it tomorrow, I just can't decide.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

How do the Steadfast shafts compare to all the big names - TPT, Newton, Ventus, etc? It's pretty good on price from what the website shows. Just curious how it compares to the big boys (and big price tags).

In my humble opinion they are just as good. Some folks here don't like the Steadfasts, but Steadfast has overcome their quality control issues and customer service woes. The Steadfast shafts are like a + compared to other shafts. So if you get a stiff, it is really a stiff +. They also are low torque, more so than some of the shafts that are in drivers right now. I got turned on to Steadfast from a pro who let me try his in a driver. I ordered one that night. I have even built two hybrid shafts out of Steadfast shafts. They work really well. But everyone's preference is different, just like their swings. If you have a smooth swing and good transition then you'll do just fine with a Newton, but if you get a little quick, the Steadfast might be a little better. That's what I have found anyway.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

I have made a decision. The grinder is coming out and I am trimming the Tensi Black 1K TX shaft an inch.

What shafts were you fit into and playing before you found Steadfast? I've been playing HZRDUS for as long as I can remember in my woods/hybrids. So I'm curious to try and find some comparisons, if that's possible.
