Just watched some of the qualifying for the world long drive championship and I'm astounded.  The grid is 475yds long and one guy hit it into the fence at the end.  I've never seen a 330yd drive look so short before.

One man cannot squash the spirit of the masses.

Stalin could not. Hitler could not. Ralph Kramden could not. It cannot be. It will not be!!

And so this shall be.

Just as as 2 iron is a 2 iron, and a 2 Utility is a 2 Utilty, so to is Dan the MOM in perpetuity.

Simply because this is what the people want.

They do not want the "truth."

They do not want to know that this equals that so this is "true."

No, there are some situations in this world where the equation 2 + 2 = 4 is not applicable.

This is one such equation.

So, while the pre-world II analogies are fine for the rational side of our world, and the common quandries worked on by commen men, they are incomplete and terribly misguided for the highest achievers and greatest accomplishments in our world, such as this man and his Yeti.

And so it is through the shine, glow & luminosity of that indomnible animal known as human spirit, that regardless of what the rational, left-side brain thoughts of those for whom 2 + 2 = 4 is the driving, ear deafening mantra, that Dan is indeed and will be until a successor is named, the MOM inperpetuity.

Can't you see?

It is the will of the people.

And BTW, Great Idea Brian, regarding the MOM & club testing!!

Nite All

He has nothing on me regarding comebacks.  Outwit, outlast, outplay...he WILL go down.

This is getting good! I want to keep it refreshed on one of my monitors at work, but better just use my phone. You know MBP is brainstorming now!

I am pretty sure that a month before and after World War II is the same length, but you people can believe a month lasts forever if you wish.

I am reminded of what a friend of mine said to me one time in the bar at the club.  I was "discussing" something with a gentleman who at been partaking in the bar for quiet some time, I was about to get pissed off about it when Larry looked at me and said,

"Only a fool will argue with a drunk."

So perhaps this afternoon I will stop in the bar after my round and will be more in the "mood" to discuss how long a _________ of the Month should last.

Honestly, if you are being serious I really am sorry.  Both Tony and I are working on the two biggest projects since launching MyGolfSpy regarding our future in this industry.  So I am focused on us trying to be around for the long-term, which unfortunately means I have not been able to spend as much time in the forums as in the past few years.

You guys might have to pick up my slack for the next couple months.

Forums need a little love from the holy one...yea X hasn't been around enough lately has he?

No, no, I was kidding. Tony told me you guys are working on some big stuff! Looking forward to it! Don't stop on our account. We're just messing around with some good banter in here. Keep doing what you're doing.

The way I understand it is that once you scrape the bottom of the barrel there is no reason to return to that barrel. It stands to reason that once they were forced to pick someone like you as the MOM it was time to do away with the contest. They had run out of good people like myself and others earlier in the year. Of course, we have some new members now, and if they would have been here back then X would not have been forced to pick you and ruin a good thing.

Lol Pure Gold!
