I must have gone to Action Park a half dozen times during my teen years, and it was wild. I got torn up a bit by that alpine slide, naively thinking that the banking on the turns was sufficient to keep the sled on the track. Uh. No. Sled gets to the top of the curve and the wheels get hung up. Rider is then half-hanging out of the sled, using arms and legs as Flintstone brakes. Good times!!

 

A lot of Darwin awards got handed out there.

 

The water rides were a blast, and there were always girls losing bikini tops on the slides.

I could go for that. I wish I had never seen a Star Wars Movie or read a WEB Griffin book.

 

That way I could watch all the movies again for the first time, and read all the books.  I have seen them many times and if they were on right now, I would probably flip over and watch it.  But only for about 30 minutes because I am going to play golf.  Ha

Sad thing is as bad as the prequels were I still watch em if they're on TV. It's just Star Wars!

 

 

Another related note. Lucas had an original draft of Star Wars dubbed "The Star Wars" which incorporated most of the original character names but they were quite vastly different. Well Dark Horse comics got the rights to the rough draft and is putting out 6 issues I believe based off that treatment. Han Solo is a green alien kinda like Greedo for instance.

 

I got issue #1 last month.

Hey Y'all's!  Made it home.  Missed my flight last night.  Everything comes to a halt in San Diego with a little rain.  Took me 2 hours to go 30 miles.  But Cobra took care of me.  Got me a flight out this morning.

Sounds like Cobra-PUMA have proven themselves very gracious hosts Blade! Glad you got home eventually, but from the looks of things it wouldn't have been too rough if you'd needed to stay a few extra days  B)
