Apollo Black stepless steel shaft

Anyone has ever tried these? I was looking for a stepless steel shaft that's somewhat like my PXi shaft.

 

Just wondering how good it is, since I want to put it into my Miura Black Blades.

I have a set of the Apollo standard stepless steel shafts in a backup set of irons. I only played them once or twice last year, and I've never played the PXi shaft so I can't give you a comparison there.

 

For me they felt more similar to the S300 than a regular Project X. I never felt like they ballooned on me and they were pretty easy to load. I'd say they are a pretty decent value, but not something I would play in my gamers. I play C-Tapers in my regular irons. I think the tapers feel smoother, launch lower and I get more distance.

 

The big plus side is that they are so inexpensive. Have you found them in a .355 taper tip though? I've only seen them in a .370 parallel tip shaft. Personally I would not want to ream out a hosel on a set of Miura's just to try them out. I don't think it's worth it.

Just FYI, the Apollo stepless plays much softer than the PX 6.0.

I don't know of a stepless in black. You can get KBS tour's in black. Or look at getting your current shafts done at Vibrant golf. I've heard good things about their stuff.

Vibrant golf? I'll check on that. I'd prefer to stick to my PXi, but if they can turn it black permanently, it'd be nice.

They can, I had them do my shafts in blue and they turned out great
