Traveling to Phoenix

I need some help, I am traveling to Phoenix feb 28th through March 2, of course clubs are coming with me. Not sure how much time I'll get to play but Sunday the 28th is a sure thing. I'm staying at The Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs, has anyone played the course there or recommend a course nearby? What are average rates in Phoenix? Any help would be greatly appreciated? Thanks in advance!

Played at the Pointe many years ago -- as I recall it's a great track and fun to play.  Also got to play the Phoenician once - lost many, many balls there.  As for rates, it was so long ago I don't remember and the # wouldn't be valid anyway.

I have also played Tapatio Cliffs many years ago, but it was cheap because it was July!!  It was fun; lots of elevation changes.  It would help to pull a club if you have played it before.  That was my impression.

 

You might want to try the ASU Karsten course and visit Ping.  Tough course.  The Legacy is a nice course.  I just found out last month that my favorite course Vistal on South Mountain has closed to make room for houses.   :(   It was a great course with no houses or condos and inexpensive.  Too bad.

 

Have a great time.  There are lots of courses to play in Phoenix and you can pay a little or a lot.

Didn't play well but played lookout mountain at the hotel my conference was at in Phoenix. I planned on escaping for another round but ended up just getting to play the one. Course was in great shape, had a good time, was a good chance to start cleaning the rust off. Looking to get back out on the course back home.
