Picks to win:
Favorite - Bryson. He played 63 holes like a champ at the US Open. Takes that momentum to this week.
Now that I picked Bryson, he’ll miss the cut, so my backup favorite will be Cantlay.
Mid tier - Doc Redman. Looked great at Palmetto
Longshot - Sebastian Munoz.
The last 4 holes are always exciting to watch with a driveable par 4, par 3 over water, unique hole layout on 17, and then finishing on 18.

I got to play my last matchplay round of group play at the club in apart of. With the range closed down due to renovations, I had to go cold off the tee and it showed. Started on the back, but steered the ship into calm waters and didn’t look back until I hit an iceberg on the last hole…
Seeing some stats, I hit the ball great, but got very unfortunate in the beginning with my ball bouncing off into the high stuff off my approach shots. Felt like Bryson only hitting 3/13 fairways but I had okay lies and good angles to the green. 4 birdies in a round is always a plus with 2 of them being tap ins.
***that 350 yard bomb off the tee goes straight downhill, so just a little skewed. Here’s the screenshot hah, I’ll get a picture of the hole next time I’m out there. We won’t talk about what I got on that hole though…

The counters involved an additional player for each side (Harman/Woodland and Na) before going back to the original offer of 1 for 1.

Late to the party but here’s my rank of public courses in Bham. I live here and play them a lot.
1) Ross Bridge
2) Oxmoor Valley - Ridge Course
3) Ballantrae Golf Club
4) Oxmoor Valley - Valley Course (opens back up October 1st, re did all the greens and changed the hole layout on 3 of them)
5) Bent Brook/Timberline
i would 100% go to Farmlinks/Purcell Farms. I would also go to RTJ Capitol Hill (Montgomery)
If you only got 3 courses and don’t mind spending a little more. I’d go Ross Bridge, Farmlinks, and the Judge course at RTJ Capitol Hill (same drive from Bham as Farmlinks)

I got another round in with Arccos for some baseline stats. Very average round for me. Driver wasn’t bad, but also wasn’t great. I had 1 penalty off the tee. Missed some birdie putts inside 10 ft but had 4 blowup holes (3 doubles and a triple).

To keep things on track - I always like to see what clubs the CCC testers think they're going to love at the start, vs what club becomes their security blanket as the challenge progresses. I know in past years, the Cobra fairways really shined for a good amount of players.
I’m not the best iron player and tend to miss the green which allows for a lot of practice chipping! I got to test the full face groove snakebite wedge during my fitting and really enjoyed the feel. I’m intrigued to see how my wedges perform 100 and in and then around the green compared to what I currently game.
Like you mentioned, I’m also excited to see how the fairway woods work out for me. I have had some hand me down Adam’s woods for a while and could never hit them with any consistency. Hoping the big tour 3 wood and the 5 wood become my game changers. I have 6-7 holes at my home course where I could comfortably use a 3 wood off the tee, but try to force my driver most of the time…

I'll echo what others have said - with the link I leave my phone in the bag entirely. I've been keeping score on a paper scorecard (strokes, putts, penalties) as a backup, and you can use the button on the Link to set the pin location on the green so you don't have to remember that. So at the end of the round I just have to double check the number of putts on each hole, add penalties where necessary, and maybe edit a few shots (like change what Arccos thought was a putt to a chip if it was from off the green).
Thanks for the tip with setting the pin location from the link! Will definitely do that next round.

Have you found that Arccos is distracting while playing?
In my 3 rounds I’ve played with it so far, I love it if you have the link. As long as it is charged up and synced, you won’t have to check anything until the end (fix hole locations, move shot from rough to bunker if needed, etc).
I haven’t gotten this far yet, but supposedly Arccos caddie will start suggesting what club to hit, does that mean you need to have your phone on you to hear that? I’m not sure.

The one Alabama course on here is interesting. I’m not sure I would have even pegged it as the best muni in Alabama. It’s an easy tract with drivable par 4s/short par 5s. I mean when Smylie Kaufman got married, he rented out the whole place and had Rickie, Jordan, and other pros come play there instead of the country clubs he could have easily gotten into. Maybe it’s the history they are ranking so highly on.

There are 2 great courses 45 minutes south of you: Old Waverly and Mossy Oak. You should check those out if that isn’t too far of a drive.

I'm with @jlukes regarding my 3W. I hit it so well off the tee and it's a bullet from the fairway.

Kind of an update:
Cobra is trying to fulfill our orders, but is super busy. They are having issues with keeping shafts in stock. We might start seeing some clubs get delivered in a week or two.
I was told the KBS and Nippon shafts are back ordered and will take another month to come in. The most available shaft is a AMT shaft. Polling the forum as I have never used or hit with an AMT shaft. I originally ordered KBS $ Taper 120 S shaft for my irons. Does anyone have any knowledge what might be comparable to that in an AMT shaft?
